Today marks the 4th anniversary of the passing of our good friend Tim Bates, Twowheelnut.

Celebrate with us at 6 PM pst by raising a glass of your favorite beverage, preferably Jack Daniels on the rocks, in celebration of a life well and fully lived! If you can, take a pix of you and your toast to Tim and post up here?

Tim at Yosemite, June 2, 2007

It was that weekend that I met Tim. He was on Wabs, his (and now dcarver's) WeeStrom and Andrew made it down for Friday night. Thanks for that, Sam. I miss those guys.**

Hard to believe Tim's been gone 4 years; a hole was left in the heart of the forum when he passed.

Will be in observance at 6 pm PDT with red wine in hand, just like that Saturday night (June 2, 2007) in Mammoth Lakes.

** for those who joined later and/or don't know, the two '05 FJRs depicted in the header on the FJRforum skin belonged to Andrew (OrangevaleFJR) in the foreground and Tim (TwoWheelNut) in the background.

Tonight shall be three fingers of Gentleman Jack and a fine cigar.

Miss ya, Tim. When it's my turn to do deep recon, I'll have your back.

I'll be lifting and draining one or two for Tim. While we never met in person we moved 1.783 tons of electrons writing back and forth about such diverse things as "To Kill A Mocking Bird", food recipes, nastolgia about CT and motorcycles.

I did not know that!

The one and only time I talked to Tim was at NAFO 08. I thanked him for his PM offering to help my dad earlier in the year as the fires in SB were really close to my dad's place.

Thank's Don the glass will be raised by the Bluejag's... and pic no# 4 the insparation for the TWN sign project. Full circle when I pay my respect's in person....To Tim

:drinks:

Same here. I sure miss the crusty old bastid, as I do Andrew. I know you guys who were closer friends miss them much more. Our interchanges were brief, yet oh so poignant.

But the TWN was an icon. In this community for sure, but also in this whole messed up thing we call the world.

Here's to you my virtual friends.

Prost!

Sitting at a campsite in the Tetons, raising a pint of Moose Drool. Met Tim at NAFO 08, never really got to know him other than by reputation through the others here... cheers mate!
