Parts For Sale Gen 2 seat, bags, tank and more

Yep - anything air-cooled has gotten silly even before the pandemic. Watch the 914 auctions on BringATrailer and you begin to understand that the 914 hasn't been the "unloved Porsche" for nearly the past ten years - the secret is out on how great these cars are. I remember when these could be...

@blassoff, I just wanted to let you know I dig your 914 avatar. I've got two - one is a 2.7 twin plug flat six, and the other is a 3.2. Both about 220 hp. They absolutely scream.

Folks in Canada, apologies but shipping is pretty expensive. I'm opting to ship to lower 48 for now. That said, if you fancy a ride from Vancouver, it's a nice day's ride. And I'll spring for a decent beer.

Having sold off my FJR, it's time to clear out my stash of parts - the funds are going into my kid's savings account so when he gets out of the service he'll have some $$ to play with. Here's what's available (shipping extra) (pics to follow), Usual first serve rule applies, but I reserve the...

West Coast Gathering (WCG) - June 15-18, 2023, Fort Bragg, CA

tip - visit a thrift shop, find the largest stuffed bear you can, and install on the back seat. Bonus points if you can pass it off to someone headed to Hyder, AK, to join the last bear to ride on the back.

    It’s not you…it’s me.

I’ve owned a lot of bikes but never a BMW. Ridden many of them and they are great - you’ll love them. My FJR is not getting ridden near as much as the Triumph Scrambler and Honda Monkey but it’s such a great travel companion I can’t quite muster the desire to sell it.

    First KTM 690 Enduro Ride

I always thought the 690 was the perfect dual sport, so long as no long distance touring was required. Light enough to have fun off road but still get up to highway speeds.

    New Bike Choice

I have a few nice bikes, and get to ride a few nice bikes every year. I don’t ride my FJR or many of the bikes as much as i used to. I did 1500 miles over the last Reuben Run, and fell back in love with the FJR. It’s such a solid bike and even an 08 well farkled is still as good as most new bikes.

Ray Slocomb, FjRay - Now on second honeymoon with Patti

I am so glad I visited in September and had the chance to chat with him. Ray was the salt of the earth - so many good memories over the years. He brought so many great FJR people together over the years, and he was kind, thoughtful, and loved his town. He will be missed.

    Reuben Run #10

It’s steady rain today through central Oregon with breaks - I was going to do six hours from Maupin to LaPine via fossil and Prineville but maybe save that for later, and do a quick run down during a break in the weather. See you all soon.
