Well, the prototypes have been working out quite well so I am offering these for the low price of $70 delivered anywhere in the US of A. They come with SST mounting hardware and your choice of color: satin black (shown), Raven gloss black, bright metallic silver & engine medium gray. Easy install - no drilling or other mods required and they are removable. PM me if you want a set.

I'm interested; think they look really good and are really kewl.

is it a lot of trouble to post pics of them in the different color finishes; perfection would be looking like installed on a bike ???

maybe not right away, but over time if you don't have prototypes of each yet.

TIA,

Mike in Nawlins'

I'd be happy to add additional photos as they become available.

Here's some done in Raven (courtesy of ngarider):

How much more HP will these afterburners provide? :)
from a previous thread

Do they modify the sound at all?

Garauld: Not that I can tell, but our testing agency in Nairobi says they add 15% more hp, 23% better gas mileage, gives less tire wear, and if you order one, they'll give you a free ticket for the Commonwealth Lottery...

My brother says that I want a set of these because his headlight reflects off the end of my cans at night and it is *really annoying*. There can only be two replies to him -- :p and :****:

And to garauld I offer two of these :good: :good: Looks good!

Here's a pic of the tailcones powdercoated in " Near Chrome"... IMHO, I still like the satin black ones the best as they blend in with the saddlebag housings.

Got my black satin cones in this afternoon...took about 15 min to install...getting all (3) bolts tight on each cone is a little tricky...had to loosen and tighten a couple of times each to get them all seated and tight. Well worth the effort I think. Cones look very high quality, and I think it definitely adds a look to the mufflers that I wanted. Pics below.

**UPDATE**

The cones do slightly change the exhaust note. There is a kind of "burbling" noise now in the exhaust sound. Not very loud, but noticeable.

that is what i hear too!

i thought the cones had worked loose and were rattling. a slight tap on the mufflers confirmed the cones were indeed tight.

the new sound is very much a bonus! thanks Gary!

Any luck in sending a set for me off to South Africa ?

I have seen so many stuff here on the forum but don't know if SA will be a problem with couriers?

Just installed my satin black ones and, as others have noted, the installation was a bit tricky (screw, screw, screw... damn... unscrew, unscrew, unscrew...) but not impossible. Took about 15 minutes, and they fit perfectly. I like the look they offer.

My girlfriend (a Harley Dyna Low rider) had a look on her face like "what are those for?" I had to explain that these were like all the chrome bits on her bike, and she understood. B)
