Privileged to ride a 2018 FJR1300AS
Got a cold, coughing and spluttering.
"You need some fresh air," she says (obviously can't stand me any more). "Why don't you go for a ride?"
"Goodbye", I reply.
Check pressures, good cough, blow nose, get togged up, blow nose, start bike, blow nose, good cough, then set off.
Weather is bright and warm enough (9-10C, 48-50F), but the wind is blowing a hooley, enough so that for the first time ever I was having trouble holding the bike on line (and I've ridden in some pretty windy weather).

Previous encounter with windy weather
At one point, a tree overhanging the road chose the moment I was passing under it to drop a couple of branches. The one that hit my helmet was the smaller, only about an inch or so in diameter and 3 or 4 feet long. The other was much bigger, but missed.
Because I'd seen it coming I wasn't too phased, and continued with just a couple of scratches on my visor.
Area of damage . . . . . . . . . . . . .Blow up of area
Oh, I couldn't swerve to avoid them, I was passing between a stationary car and the curb, and, had I tried to stop, the bigger one would have caught me.
Stopped at a local reservoir. Normally it's as smooth as glass, but the wind was making it quite choppy.
View of sheep, water and gulls . . . . Cropped image shows most of the gulls prefer dry land
Couple more pics, but I didn't get the superb rainbow that I chased for some miles - yes, there was rain around as well as sun. These pictures were taken into the sun, so not my best.
FJR waits patiently . . . . . . . . . . . That sun is low and bright
Pictures enhanced a bit:
So, 80 odd miles, lots of fresh air, I'm still coughing and blowing, but I certainly feel better after the ride.
But a new visor for my C3 is going to cost many, many pennies.
