This link references a stated 2005 FJR. In the

event that the listing has vaporized by the time

you read this, the owner claims ownership of this

2005 FJR for the last 6 years.

https://dallas.craigslist.org/mdf/mcy/3100485509.html

Just out of curiosity, how can this be? I own a

2007, and I'm no FJR historical expert. Everything

I read says a European FJR was introduced in 2001.

Then, in latter 2002, as a 2003 model, the bike was

introduced in America. Looking at the seller's image,

I suppose it could be a European model, but that

still doesn't square the calculation of a 6 year

ownership of a 2005 model.

This topic is merely conversational. I have no inter-

est in the bike as a purchaser. But, I didn't want

to rattle the seller without any real interest.

Thanks.

I don't see your problem :dribble: The bike is a 2005 and he has owned it for 6 years. To me that says he bought in in 2006, 2006 plus 6 years = 2012. Am I missing something?

This post should be closed immediately, and saved for Friday morning dogpile goodness. This gem is custom made for dopgpile entertainment.

GMAK, what year is it where you are????

Did you hit the minus button on your calculator instead of plus, and come up with 1999?

Uh, so he could have owned it for these years, right?

  1.
  2. 2004
  3. 2005
  4. 2006
  5. 2007
  6. 2008
  7. 2009
  8. 2010
  9. 2011
  10. 2012

It seems to me that he could have had it for a few more than six years.

The sellers confusing statement isn't nearly as confusing as the buyers confusing statement. Everybody confused now?

I've never got in on a Friday Dogpile. Now I have to wait all week. Crap.

I think I should start a new thread asking about a confusing thread which talks about a "confusing" statement from a seller.

OK... OK... I admit, I was confused. I think it is

2012 here. Somehow, I was thinking that the seller

meant that he'd owned the 2005 bike for 6 years since

new.

I'm sorry, and please feel free to have a good laugh

at my expense. Carry on.

Thanks.

Just another note, not to pile on or anything. From reading posts here on this forum, it's also possible to buy a 2009, or 2010 model brand new, right now. That's where the math starts to diverge from strictly sequential.

And yes, we are all laughing at your now.

Hehe...Don't you hate it when you post **** up on the internet and only later realize it was a huge mistake? Makes me glad I drink less these days. Thanks for the laugh!

I was hoping that you were going to blame this on drinking. I was going to come on over as I need some of that after today. :p
