A Nice Day In Iowa

Not much in the line of a ride report but ...

I was getting ready to ride up to Iowa, so I made some plans with some fellow riders. Most of my plans didn't come to be as a subframe (Mirror mounting bracket) broke completely off, leaving my aux. lights and mirror

shaking from being held on only by the front plastics. My nephew did a great job welding the pieces back together and I finally got the bike ready to ride. At 430 am I rode to Cedar Rapids to witness the start of a BBG.

Phil and Shane left out at 7am from Cedar Rapids and I was allowed to share their ride back to the turn-off near Des Moines, IA. I returned back to my sister's ranch, then napped.

I woke up and rode into town to the powersports where Craig (CraigRegs) and I had agreed to meet. It was good seeing Craig again (We attended CFO and he had witnessed a ride near Altoona, IA for me).

We departed for what turned out to be a wonderful ride. Craig had obviously taken the time to plan out a fantastic route. Carving our way to this Place.

We ate a sandwich, then it was time for pie. Oh and it was GOOD pie!!!

After Craig consumed a piece of PECAN pie, and I had CHERRY…

Now I don't recall what Craigs 2nd piece was, but mine was a Blueberry

Nice Place and the ride home was sweet!

We then went back to my sister's and picked up my wife and went to the Bike Night.

Now that's a ride report and the pictures were awesome.

Nice little report. I knew Niehart would be loving those pie pictures!

It was a great ride, Tony. Always a pleasure!

BTW, don't give short shrift to those Canteens (loose meat sandwiches like no other!). For the record, I started with peach and finished with the pecan ala mode. Shoulda had the coconut cream, too.
