This was removed from my 2006 last summer and was originally modified for connection to an auxiliary fuse panel with fused, switched power that was located beneath the seat so the inline fuse was removed.
If you want to connect this directly to your battery, you'll need to install an inline fuse to protect whatever you plug into it.
