2015 otd price?

Is 12.5 on a '15 A the screaming deal I think it is?

Going to sign the papers and trying to make a last second determination if I should have haggled harder. Apparently it is a leftover from an out of business dealer. I think Yamaha is also giving dealers kickbacks and discounts right now, just based on seeing what is listed out there.

Thoughts?

Just bought a 16A used with only 124 miles on it for 12.5 with YES warranty.

A "used" 2016?? 124 miles?! Sounds like someone forgot to get spousal approval before buying a new bike!

Well hell, it's just like a big bicycle innit? After 124 miles of riding it around a parking lot I'm still afraid of the big, heavy rocket ship; I have remorse, regrets, and reconsideration. Be gone you conveyance of fear and death!

I got my 15, OTD, with trade and 4 year YES for 11k. Granted my trade was 4k, and there was also a 1k rebate going on. I pushed for 125 but it was actually around 13. I always give my final OTD first. Tax,title,license included. Then if they can't meet it, I walk.

The guy I bought it from was a real nice guy. It was a divorce deal that caught him by surprise. I felt for him but gave him full asking price.

Could be the old situation where the wife tells you to "do whatever the F you want" and then you come to find out a new bike wasn't included in that statement. Maybe he shouldn't have been surprised.....

I paid $12,500 for my '13 in '14 and thought I'd done okay.

Yes there is Yamaha money to the dealer to clear non-current inventory.

If you think $12,500 is a good deal then jump on it. It really only matters to you and the dealer. If you are both smiling then it's a great deal.

12.9 with 4 years of YES.

Lost a bit more on trade on the FJ09 than I hoped, but I got 10k fun miles out of her before I got sick of it.

Very happy on the ride home, and enjoyed playing with the cruise and heated grips on the cool (for LA) ride home.

"Out The Door" prices are a bad gauge of the deal if you are comparing to anywhere else, except very close to where you live. There are far too many regional and state differences in the vehicle transaction to compare what a guy in California pays vs another guy in XYZ state. And you should never subtract the trade in from the OTD price; that trade is just another form of money in the deal.

Some states have no sales tax at all, so they would be that much ahead of you tax payers with no wheeling and dealing at all. Some states you don't pay the tax until YOU register it later (after you are out the door), and in some the dealer handles all the tax, title and registration, which will drive the OTD price way higher.

Yeh, and some states charge you the tax even if you buy it out of state. Need I say more.

Jump all over that deal and don't look back! Sure, you could beat yourself up and shop till you drop to save another $500...but is it really worth it in the end? Nope!!

Lol! I save money for motorcycles by sleeping in that and not spending anything on rent! Seems perfectly reasonable to me.
