I have recently ordered parts from Gary. He is now at Mondak Motorsports in Sidney, MT. A great guy to deal with. Fantastic service and great prices, close to 30% off regular Yamaha prices. I highly recommend him for your "parts" needs. He prefers e-mails ([email protected]). Sam

Yep, I too have been in touch with Gary at Mondak. Same old Gary, solid-as-a-rock and his prices are smokin' :smokin:

I'm happy to be dealing with him again.

I have just placed an order with Gary McCoy at www.mondakmotorsports.com, and could not be happier with his excellent communication and skills as a parts man!

He caught a mistake in the official Yamaha parts microfiche, which would have caused the wrong parts to be shipped if he had followed my request without checking. Simple item - 4 close-out covers to replace the ones that were missing on my used 06 Feej.

Silly little part, but would have caused the usual aggravation of having to return incorrect parts, lost time, additional expense, etc. Seems Mama Yama has not updated the microfiche to reflect the correct part numbers, which vary according to the color needed.

If you are looking to deal with a person who knows his product line, isn't afraid to spend a few minutes confirming the correctness of ordered parts, and want an exceptionally friendly price... all at the same time, then Gary is the man to deal with!

I am a very happy camper. :yahoo:

Give him a shout - you won't be disappointed.

Need to do another kudos for Gary at Mondak. I shot him a list of bolts/washers/odds and ends I like to keep around for the FJR. The first Yamaha vendor I priced it out with came up with $74 and change plus shipping. :shok: After I cleaned the puddy out of my crack I tried a second online vendor known for "good" prices. The second... $51.65 (including shipping). Mondakmotorsports.... $29.89 shipped! :punk:

Send Gary and email as described above. I called them and spoke with Chris Thiel in parts who had me forward him Gary's parts listing/price and all was good in the world.

Fantastic people, fantastic prices, long-term forum discount provider.

In the last couple weeks, I ordered parts from Gary at Mondak for my FJR and my Blackbird. (A lot, sicne I had run out and like to stock up on filters, plugs, pads, etc.)

As usual, Gary went above and beyond. First, the parts total came to $491, but that was before a $199 discount. In a recent thread about OEM vs. EBC brake pads (I ordered full sets for both bikes for when they're needed), I heard some large numbers. Not even close through Gary, and I got the OEMs for both bikes.

Second, the guy packing the order made an error and packed four NGC CR9EIX spark plugs instead of four NGC CR8EIX iridium plugs as recommended for the FJR and as listed on Gary's invoice. So, I wrote back suggesting I'd send them back and requesting he send me the CR8EIX plugs. Typical of Gary from my experience, this is his reply: "I’ll get you the correct spark plugs coming asap, you can keep those other plugs you may want to run them sometime when your on a long trip or when its really hot out."

I was really sad to see his great service disappear when University took a different tack, and it's great to have him back again as a supplier for Mondak. So, for Yamaha and Honda parts, it's the same great service and pricing as before -- just in a different state now:

BTW, since I also have a Kawasaki, I asked Gary about parts for it, and he gave me the following name for buying Kaw parts on an apparently similar basis:

Terry at Racing Unlimited in Fort Dodge, Iowa (515) 955-6000 I haven't tried him yet, but I have a suspicion that telling him that Gary McCoy suggested him for Kawasaki parts will be a good thing.

I'll add to the good words for Gary at Mondak. Great guy! Great service and great prices. He's been in the business a long time, knows bikes, and knows the forum.

I have yet to get anything but the best from Gary, be it parts, service, pricing, you name it. Well, he did hesitate when suX0rs was mentioned, but in the end it all worked out.

I'm another thats happy to have Gary back, Great pricing on parts for the FJR and the VFR too. One stop shopping, doesn't get any better than that.

I needed parts to get my forks replaced (SFO in 8 days); he ordered, waited for the UPS truck, turned the parts around SAME DAY and overnighted them. PLUS he called me to tell me they were out his door and on the way AND sent an email with the tracking number.

I really don't know why I call/look anywhere else for Yamaha parts.

Here's another atta boy for Gary. I asked him about a part and he ordered it for me without even taking any credit card info first. The guy is awesome!

+1 for Gary.

Ordered my FZ1 mirrors from him, my first buy with him, very good service.

He had no problem to send them in Montreal !!

Very happy !

I found myself in need of front rotors for my 03 with only a few days before CFR. Gary went the extra mile to get them to me and at a Very friendly price. What a great supporter for the FJR comunity

How would we get a hold of this savior of distressed feejer owners?
I dunno, Toe.

Lessee, he's listed here:Alternate FJR Parts Sources in the FAQ section.

I have always emailed him with a list of the parts I need and he emails me back with a price list. Then it's a quick phone call with the credit card number.

As with Ray's OP, he's always been very good and timely for me. I guess I thought everyoneknew.

He is THE MAN to use for OEM parts. They are a multiple manufacture dealer so I got a deal on the new V-strom hand guards which came in very handy on the trip to CFR.

Call Gary if you need it in a hurry. Put him in your mobile speed dial. Email him otherwise. Shipping is cheap, unless it's bulky. He'll ship the part(s) wherever you need them... like if you happen to be in Dallas TX when you break something.

He can keep your CC info on file. Not that I would know (having ordered almost $800 in stuff this year already :( ) Spare parts, upper fork tubes, inner fork compression thingy (ouch) and other miscellaneous.

I don't know why I call anyone else...unless I need it that day and it's in stock locally. Even then I'll call Gary to see if he has it in stock and can overnight it to me. Sadly, sometimes that is cheaper than what I would pay locally.

Imagine what that other dealer is missing (the idiots who sent G packing) and how greatful MonDak has to be. Loyal, repeat customers.

I have used Gary as a source before (when he was at University) and now, after my incident on the Dalton, he and I are spending some quality time finalizing my shopping list. A very, very good man to work with.
