Most any weekend except this coming weekend is good for me. I have a JT's BBQ run Sept. 8th (Ionbeam read your mail I sent you out a copy). A Saturday might work better but Sundays would work as well as long as I don't have to drive more than 3 hours to get to the meet/greet point. Just let me know a little ahead of time.

Tom

I just 'spoke' with Skip and it looks like we will try for the main 'Bridges' ride on 9/29 and then have a consolation ride (or rain date) *again* on 10/13 :)
Since I am interested in the rain date I am opening a separate thread for it: 10/13 ride.

I can make it for Sept 30th. Gota COG rally in Lake George on Oct 13th.

By the way, the last time I rode through Hancock it cost me $200. This time I'll bring my 8500 X50.

Time to kickstart this ride so it doesn't get forgotten. I have firmed up the ride in the first post. Kickstands up is in approximately 2 weeks so time to make plans. For those that can't make this ride Ionbeam is hosting another on the 13th Oct. Hope you can make this ride. Let's get as many FJR's together as possible for a northeast photo-op. The color has already started up here. If we get good weather it will make for an epic ride. Fingers crossed!

OK...where is the meeting/start point or points? Yes I'm lazy and didn't look back to see.
Tom
The meeting point is in the village of Hancock, NH (Rt 123) at the Fiddleheads Cafe at 9:00 a.m. Grab some refreshments and head out at 9:30. Alan will meet other riders in either Concord or Manchester and lead them to Hancock.

Glad you settled on the 29th. It's the only day I could make it. See you there!

The 29th right?? Looks like I'll need to get out my NH map.

When I posted 2nd on Aug 20th I had no idea I would be in the emergency room with a lower back injury a week later!

Needless to say it is unlikely we will be there, We were so looking forward to it. Slowly getting better but not soon enough!

If someone can save a copy of the final route with some POI's it would be greatly appreciated. Have a great, safe ride and

we will be there next time around.

Blue-sorry to hear of the injury. Gell well soon and I'd be happy to take you on a personal tour when you're on two wheels again.

Tom-all the particulars are in the my first post.

The Covered Bridges of Southwestern NH, Saturday Sept 29, Meet at 9:00.
Unless the waether is REAL BAD or my wife gives me a "honey do" list I'll try to be there. I'll have to start out at 6:30 AM to make Hancock by 9:15 to 9:30 (kinda like VT, you can't get there from here). Se you then I hope. :yahoo:

Rats! I just got posted to have to work the 29th. This makes the 3rd ride I couldn't go on due to work. I made sure my kids found normal jobs with normal hours and not this stupid stuff I do.

I don't mind work, but I find it cuts into my day.

Maybe next time.

The Covered Bridges Ride will start from Fiddleheads Cafe, 28 Main St, Hancock, NH on 9/29/07. The plan is to meet at 9:00 and the ride will leave at 9:30.

There will be a second ride on October 13 covered in this thread..

I'm offering to meet travelers in Concord, NH (I 93; exit 14) and lead the ride over to Hancock if there is any interest. So, anyone that is interested in meeting in Concord please drop me a note to help plan the trip. It is roughly 40 miles/1 hr from Concord to Hancock. If you are traveling up from MA; CT; NY (south) or ME you will probably be going this way.

I would like to meet you in Concord. Only reservation, except that I will have to get up TOO FRIGGIN EARLY!!!, is that rte 4 can be awfully slow going. Do you think I could make better time going thru Manchester and on to Hancock?

Next Saturday is The Covered Bridges of Southwestern NH Fall Ride so we need to have those riders who are planning on joining us let us know so we can get a head count. The weather is looking perfect:

Saturday, Sep 29

High: 68 °F RealFeel®: 63 °F

Breezy and less humid with times of clouds and sun

So get your FJR's polished up and come out for a nice leisurely tour and comaraderie among the FJRista's.

Call my cell at 603-426-7597 if running late or lost. We will wait for you, so don't rush. That can lead to bad things.

I too join Skip in looking for a rough rider count.

Teaser pixs from the Hancock area, taken on Sunday the 23rd. This is the area from which the ride will begin.

Some things you just can’t explain (Concord, NH):
