Hey Guys!

Anyone know what has happened to televised AMA racing? Maybe I'm out of some "loop" but I've been unable to find any AMA racing for three weeks

now! Can anyone please tell me what's up? TIA

JC

There ain't been none!

Next AMA Superbike event is 2 weeks away, still, even though it's been a month since Road America.

One could always consult AMA's official schedule here.

Nothing scheduled 'till Laguna. Seems a long gap in their schedule.
Last year MotoGP at Laguna Seca got bumped to one of the big 3 networks (I think it was CBS, but I can't remember for sure). They showed Qualifying, but the race got moved. The move had very little publicity, and appeared to be more or less a last minute thing (maybe a week's notice if I remember right). So if Speed drops Laguna Seca from their schedule, check the sports on the majors to see if they've picked it up.

As for AMA, I don't know if these races would attract enough attention for a major network in the US, so the Speed schedule is probably OK.

I know MotoGP isn't AMA, but if you like MotoGP and you hate commercial interruptions and the lack of news in the American media, you can go to https://www.motogp.com and sign up for a discounted subscription.

Its great to watch qualifying and the race uninterrupted, and the site has a lot of content compared to something like the Speed Channel. The european races are typically GMT +5, so if they run the race at 2 pm local time, I can watch live at 7 am CDT. The time difference is NOT horrible for those of us on the east coast or through the middle of the US.
