Absolutely. Thanks for having us over, even if I will be forever known as the "new guy". Next time I will get there in time for the tech fun.

Bryan, I will PM you my email and we can get that list going...

Just pulled into my joint.
Great day with great hosts. Hudson, thanks for getting this started.

Have I told you guys & gals how much I love my toastmaster 2000?
Gramps you had to turn on your toaster? Gee it only got down to 41 degress on the way home.

Brian and Marrissa, thanks for hosting! And great meeting you all.

Brian and Marissa,

Catered with pulled pork, ribs, smoked salmon- WOW! The bar has been set high. Jean and I had a great time and that NoMar tire changer is slick. I greatly appreciate your help on the tire change. I hope everyone had a great ride home. I know we did.

Thanks again.

Barry and Jean

Brian and Marissa,

Congratulations, you are the first proper american home I've ever been to. Until now, even having been here 4 months, all of the places my friends and I live are in condos or apartments. I was very impressed with everything, had a great time, just wish I could have stayed longer (I got home, showered and left straight away!). The NoMar tire changer was definitely worth checking out, really would have been nice to get a video of you guys actually getting the tire off.

Thanks to Barry for supplying the tire to be changed! I kind of wish we'd had a plug-n-patch (patching a tire) demo as well since we were changing the tire anyway, but hey, I'm happy with what I got.

Dave (Niehart) and Kevin - what chain adjustment would be complete without an equally... weighty person as me to sit on the bike so I could check the clearance. It really made life 100 times easier. Thanks!

The balance video will be uploaded shortly and linked here.

It will also make everyone happy to know that nothing caught fire on the way back this time.

Many thanks once again for hosting the tech meet,

Kris

PS: If I show up with a case of your favorite beer and 2 new tires, you'll understand right?

PPS: Does anyone have a Yamaha sticker I can put on my bike so I don't feel so outnumbered next time? :D

Even though Colleen and I had to show up late - we had a great time. It was a pleasure to meet everyone and now I will have to figure out which forum handles go with which FJR riders. Even though I missed the big meal, at least I got to see many of the farkles I've been hearing about - especially hopping on to a few seats.

Brian and Marissa - thanks for being such gracious hosts. You have a great house and I appreciated the opportunity to work on my technical skills navigating the driveway and the twisties just down the road. I think Brian was a bad influence on my toy list though, I now need to add a suspension upgrade to my list that already included comm gear, fuse block, some sort of cruise control/throttle lock, and clothing power for the passenger.

We need a big ride together - too bad it is already mid-October. Ideas?

Should have installed the power commander as soon as I received it. Kevin [Panman] helped me install yesterday at the meet & tech greet [Thx's Kevin]. Low end surge is gone and much better throttle control on the low end. Noticed a little difference in mid range & no noticeable difference in top end. Put another 100 miles on this morning, sweet!

And again thanks Bryan & Marrissa. Great to meet the rest of you bums also. ^_^

Bryan & Marrissa,

Your hospitality is surpassed by none. Thank you very much for letting us stay and for feeding us. We had an absolute blast. Can't wait to see everyone again, and be able to go for a ride. Hopefully I will have the windshield on next time. lol

Carl & Jonnie

Thanks to all for the great time and especially to Bryan and Marrissa for letting all of us invade your home. Dinner and steaks were yummy and the company was great...and Bryan has a garage to die for. That NoMar changer is pretty slick as well, gave me a couple more ideas for the low-buck HF to improve it.

Time to search the few photos that I took and see which ones will add some more flavor to the event. I'll get'um up later tonight.

See everyone next time.

Thanks all for attending. We had about 15-16 FJR's and 1 Vstrom. Great company. Working on the pictures, only got to take a few.

Please PM me with email address and phone numbers and I will put to gether a list so we can share with the others to make it easier to link up for rides and get togethers.

Thanks to Hudson for having the idea in the first place and co-hosting the event. :clapping:

Found a couple pics that Tenchi didn't have so here goes...

For us early risers, a view from the top of the driveway with the first few bikes. Now picture that same driveway at night going back up... Sorry, no pic of that.

You know how guys hate to read directions. How many do you suppose it takes to figure out the virgin run on a NoMar.

Now how DOES this contraption work exactly... Caption this picture.

Thanks again to Hudson for the idea and Auburn FJR for hosting. We'll have it at my place next time.

Long story goes with this one...Short story bought this at the 97 World Superbike races at Laguna Seca. The guy selling this was walking through the padduck and no one realized what he was wearing unless they actually read it. When I did I had to have one.

Great time had by all. Hudson - again thanks for getting the idea rolling and to everyone else for showing up and making the event a great success.

Yeah the picture never does justice for how steep teh driveway is. It is funny to watch people the first time they come down it

Thanks Bryan for opening up your house to us. I had a great time. Wish I could have stayed for some of the food!!!

Jim

Here's the answers to a couple questions that were aimed at me:

The NAPA part number for the bypass caps I used when I removed the PAIR plumbing. #660-1696. And the class I took was NW Motorcycle School

Bryan & Marissa,

I really appreciated you hosting this event, hopefully we can do this more regularly, as stated before our CA brethern would have been most impressed. You are the most eloquent hosts.

Thanks Escapefjrtist and Niehart for the twisted view on a foggy morning - lets do it again sometime.............

It was really great meeting everyone from the PNW.

P.S. - Bryan still not sure that Heart out performs Led Zepplin - might have to see the vid again to confirm.

Thanks,

J
