If anyone is thinking about powdercoating any bit's and pieces, consider getting in touch with Garauld thru this website. He just did a black satin powdercoat job on my Givi rack and it came out great. I sent the rack to him (N.M to N.Y.) 10 days ago, and got it back yesterday. Great service, great prices, and as always, top notch workmanship. Thanks Gary! :fan_1:

sgoat,

Do you have any pictures of your rack that you can post? I've seen Warchild's glossy black, but I'm curious what the black satin looks like when mounted on the bike. I been thinking about sending mine to Garauld as well, but I was thinking about a matte black.

Beardo,

I snapped off a couple of quick shots in my garage for you. I apologize for the quality, but it's the best I can do for now. Unfortunately (for photos) there's a skylight right above the bike which adds glare to the pics. I think you'd be more than happy with the satin if you could see it live.

sgoat,

Thanks much for posting the pics... I have to say I think I like the satinn black better than the glossy black. However, I think I would like a black with just a bit less of a shine... we'll see though.

Thanks again,

BeardO

Again, it's not as "shiney" as it appears in the pic, it's sitting directly under a skylight. I'm certain Gary can accomodate you with whatever finish you decide on.

Hi gang - I recently bought a fancy new Hyper powdercoat gun which does a nice job PCing stuff. In addition to my racks, I've done other items for fellow FJR riders like Wild Bill's highway pegs, rusty Givi racks brackets and now, with my bigger oven, I can do wheels. I did these GSXR rims recently in matte black. I have lots of other colors available. I plan to do mine in satin black similar to these sometime over the winter. Cost would be $50 per wheel + S&H if you remove the brgs - a bit more if I have to remove them. PM me if you have a need...

Guys, (and gals), I've recently purchased both the rear rack and the front light mounts from Garauld. He does AWESOME work, could not be any happier with the quality and attention to detail. I highly recommend this young man for ANYTHING he sells. Great vendor!!!!

I'll post up some pics later after I finish the cruise and light mounting.

those look gorgeous Mr G - really nice work.

I've always wondered what satin black would look like on my blue 06.

I'll probably be in touch soon - Bull
