I'm getting ready to build a large electro-mechanical fixture for my former boss and went to my favorite supply center which carries good stuff inexpensively. Having just received a PM from Zip about some electrofarkiling I thought that I would pass on some of the stuff that ESS stocks. ESS buys surplus stuff from professional businesses so what they carry are top brand items. They have every relay, switch, wire and wiring product you could use. They also have top quality tools including crimpers for every kind of terminal. The correct crimper makes all the difference in the quality of the terminal attachment to the wire.

If you are local, drop in sometime, be prepared to spend more money than you ever intended. If there is enough interest in the Forum I could make some bulk buys and then ship to the individuals. (Manchester, NH, exit 6 immediately off of Rt. 93)

The top row is all calibers of shrink tubing in many colors. The shelf below has multi-stranded cabling. Instead of running 4 wires then putting them in a loom, you run one cable that contains 4 wires. The cables have from 2 to 12 wires.

Another view, shrink sleeve top shelf on the right, left side is a wall of connectors. Some connectors are sold loose, others are in strips.

All calibers of ridged split sleeving.

High quality Teflon wires.

Sleeving/loom -- spiral, cloth, woven, asphalt and split.

They carry all types of hardware, hitch pins like the ones used to secure the bags, relays, contactors, fusing, switches, components, cases and all kinds of electrical and mechanical assemblies. There are also meters, gauges, tools, lab equipment, etc. If you are a hoarder or harvester this place will be financial death for you

You mean besides the link in Ionbeam's post? Probably not. :D

Click that link, and at the upper right is a Home/Store pulldown, pikc Store and look around.

Eying 'riders 27 post count, I'll offer a newbie assist. In my opening post, in part I said:

On Forums, when you see a solid underline it indicates a link to an internet web site, web page or web document, simply click on the link and you are at the new site. Also, on this particular Forum there is an 'acronym' feature. When you see a dotted line under an acronym or phrase, roll your mouse pointer over the letters or words and let it hover, a box will open up and show you what the letters or phrase means. Try it on the ESS with the dotted line.

If you already knew this, please disregard this post.
