Thought you might like to see my windshield project. I thought about doing something like this on the side of the fairing, but decided to try the windshield instead. Hard to get a pic of the finished project on the bike, but here's a quick shot:

First, I downloaded an FJR logo from the net

Then I blew it up, cut it out, and taped it on the outside of the windshield

Then, using an old roll of gold pin stripe tape I had laying around for like 20 years, I carefully coerced it onto the inside of the windshield. I trimmed it off with a razor blade being careful not to hack up the windshield, I used a pair of tweezers to help remove the excess after trimming. Thank God for the pair of 400 magnification glasses I picked up at the drug store. The old eyes ain't what they used to be. Even so, I still needed the good old magnifying glass for a few areas.

Remove the paper outline

Hold it up and show it off so you can see it...

And mount on the Feejer:

For what it's worth, if anybody wants the logo, all cut out and ready to "trace," let me know and I'll fold it up and send it to you.

Nice work and it adds that personal touch.

You do realize that a lot of folks are going to ask "what's an FJR" .

Can you do one that says BMW? ;)

Dave

That looks really good! You should consider opening up shop.
One little problem: my other shop... room 217, bldg one at the Gulf Middle School. Does kinda take up most of my spare time... besides, It takes sooooo long to place, cut and remove the excess from 33 pieces of 1/8 pin stripe tape.

Oh well. Guess I'll have to find some other way to get rich.
