For those of you who need to put in your vacation time six months early, the dates for the upcoming FJR ride to Dos Cabos, Baja California Sur will be March 16-24 in Mexico.

We'll be crossing the border on Wednesday 3/16/11 and then heading North again on Thursday 3/24. Taking 4 days to ride the 1,100 miles down to Land's End at San Jose.

The ride back to the border can easily be down in three days, crossing again on 3/26.

The Border Crossing Station will be determined by any riders that want to continue on to the Mainland on the La Paz to Mazatlan Overnight Car Ferry. If there is interest in this, I will lead the group back to the Nogales, Sonora, Mexico crossing station via Alamos and San Carlos. Alamos is a Pueblo Historico and San Carlos is a beach town.

If there's no interest in going to Mainland Mexico, we'll cross over and back at Tecate.

I'll have all of the proposed lodgings en route and at Dos Cabos on here by January 1.

Any additional questions, please contact Don Stanley at [email protected] or at 480-440-4666. I'll be riding Mexico's Copper Canyon from November 6-20, so I'll be unavailable during those dates; will contact you when I return from Chihuahua, MEX

Aye, am already heavily invested in preparations for this ride! I'm really looking forward to it. No better time of year to ride Baja (in my opinion FWIW).

Thanks for putting it together Don. :clapping:

Here's some food for thought, some "Significant Others" are flying directly into La Paz; so they do not have to ride the entire Baja Peninsula.

Jorge - Khunajawdge's wife, Brian's wife Melanie and my girlfriend Donna will all fly into and out of the La Paz Aeropuerto, Baja California Sur.

SkooterG's gal GSJane is riding her own BMW GS with "The Boys"; but the other Gals aren't interested in the "boring" part of Baja; they just want to see scenic, beach parts that are in the Lands End region! I enjoy riding the desert, but out of the 1,100 miles: 900 miles of it's in El Desierto!

Just got an e-mail from Chuck "Carlos" Doucet, he's going to Dos Cabos with us. This makes three of the four original Land's End Riders from the 2004 Run riding South to Mexico on March 16th.

Fiesta, Arriba!

"Hey Don

Count me In! Mexican rides are always a blast with you. I’d really enjoy this ride!

Carlos"
