There is a whole lot of fun coming our way on Friday, November 7, 2008. We are going to ride to Laughlin, Nevada and meet up with our friends from SOCAL FJR Group. Base hotel for this event is Aquarius Casino, which was Flamingo Resort.

https://www.aquariuscasinoresort.com/ Don Stanley will contact Aquarius and attempt to obtain discount group pricing for us.

Our departure point is the McDonald's, next to the Hassayampa River Bridge in Wickenburg at 3pm; arrive Laughlin at 6pm.

Hope I can make it. I like seeing the cars the SOCAL guys bring . . . . . :derisive:

Robert i will kick yo in the *** when i see you :angry2:

Don it is 162 miles from Wickenburg to Laughlin , you have allowed 3 hours are you expecting Skooter to slow you down or what? :D

https://arizonaroads.com/arizona/az93.html Fairlaner: US Route 93, was AZ 93, has a "Blood Alley" reputation as being the most deadly road in entire State of Arizona. Everyone of we AZ FJR Forum has been stopped by either the Hualapai Indian Reservation Tribal Police or Department of Public Safety Officers for speeding. In my case, I just received a warning ticket.

In regards to your second question: It's not a matter if SkooterG will **** up; it is just a matter of what and precisely when!

....

i think fairlaner is going to ride something to Laughlin
I'm telling you all, Fairlaner is secretly lusting after this new Yamaha to put in his garage! Funny thing is, he could probably still outride us all on it.... :clapping:

Richard's definitely a quick one! When I led a Utah "shortcut" route to Park City last year I know well, I couldn't shake him.

I'd the pleasure of riding the Pyrenees with Sr. Stefano Sarao this May, known as "Teerex 51" to we Estados Unidos Gringos.

Lots of similarities between the riding styles of the dos Euros; lightning quick, but absolutely smooth as glass; no herky-jerky!

Was defining aspect of both Brit Mike Hailwood und Italiano Giacomo Agostini - making it look effortless, but muy rapido ese!

Rather than spend so much boring time riding I-40, a nicer ride to take would be take sr89 out of Wickenburg to Ashfork and then pick up Historic Route 66. You can Route 66 from Ashfork, all the way to Oatman and then cut down through Bullhead City on 155. It will be a little further, but it's a great ride. And November will be perfect. Once you leave Kingman staying on 66, you'll go down some road where you can crank open the throttle if desired and then the last 22 miles before Oatman will be really tight twisties. Although the road is narrow and mistakes can be costly. Just before leaving Kingman on 66 you’ll pass by Mister-D’s café that has great food (and sundaes & banana-splits). For those that have not ridden this part of Old Route 66, it’s a lot of fun and good nostalgic history.

If taking the long way does not interest everyone, you can still turn off on Old Highway 93 (193) towards Kingman about 4 miles before you reach I-40, then turn off on 259 (DW Ranch Rd), which will lead you to Hualapal (wall-a-pie) Mountain Rd 147. This will run straight into Business Loop 40 which is Historic Route 66 and take it through Oatman. Still make a stop at Mister D’s and still ride a nice part of Old 66 and the twisties. Total distance this way is about 178 miles from Wickenburg to Laughlin.

Absolutely nothing wrong with your car Richard, but my *** is off limits (Californians!) ... :biggrinsmiley: Maybe both groups can do some ridin' together on this trip. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

I like the Salome, Bouse, & LHC also . . . .

Big D: We're definitely taking your routes on the return trip on Sunday, rest of us have to work Friday morning until Noon; I have to be in my office at 0400 to make up the difference. So we want to get up to Laughlin in the quickest time ASAP!

If we were retired, ******** and independently wealthy like FJRobert & Skooter G it wouldn't matter; vectervp1 and I work!

FJRobert: I agree with you that Salome, Bouse & LHC is a good route; but I take it every single time I go to The CO River!

Skooter's lurking because if my girlfriend Donna & his girlfriend Jane can't go, I'm asking him to be my "bride" those days!!!

Richard they're towns along hwy 60, 72, & hwy 96 heading from Wickenburg west to Lake Havasu City & Laughlin. There was a secret Army base (Camp Bouse) at Bouse that trained WW2 tank crews for night fighting with a "new" tank at the time. There's a small display along hwy 72.

Don you know I'm in no matter what the route . . . .

I spoke to Natasha at the Aquarius Group Sales Office regarding the best rates for the nights of Friday, November 7 and Saturday, November 8 for us.

Best rates for individual booking are online at https://www.theaquarius.com

I went with Weekend Party Package: Room for two on Friday and Saturday; with two drink coupons valid at any casino bar and $5 per person (a total of 2) in free slot pay. $76.29 a night for a total $152.58, taxes are included in.

You can call the main No. for Aquarius 1-800-662-5825 for $5 more a night.

If someone wanted to sign a contract being responsible for a minimum of 12 rooms you can call 1-800-292-3711 and get the rooms for $10 less per night.

ATTENTION FJRobert: I went ahead and paid an extra fee for a reserved and secure parking space in the hotel's garage for Richard - Fairlaner's CAR!!!

https://www.laughlinentertainer.com/article...tories/news.txt Richard: You better crack the whip on your SOCAL FJR Riders and get them registered muy pronto for a room at "Aquarius" AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

With the Motorsports Rally in town, rooms will soon be gone quickly. This will be a fun event for us to watch: EURO RACING!

ARIZONA FJR FORUM: This applies to Zonies, as well! Get your Aquarius Resort Hotel room while you can. WILL SELL OUT!

How many on the list for this event...
+2 here

Jdog as of 08-18-2008
Hi Jdog, Unfortunately, there are just two on the list from Arizona right now; myself and my girlfriend Donna. FJRobert is in the Senior Center shuffleboard tournament, SkooterG just got back from a grueling bikini wax session ala Michael Phelps, BadCat is happily wandering around on his FJR and vectervp1 is working on his new casa. Their priorities are all ****** up!!

WHAT THE ****, OVER! Are you AZ mooks getting your sorry ***** in gear and being registered for our Lauglin M/C Ride?

Sergeant Stanley is going to have to come to your hooch and put a size 11 up your ***! Jdog & Fairlaner & I want to know!
