I've been thinking about making a Brodie FJR Ignition Switch Relay

I figure several of us sitting around the kitchen table and drinking beer while building these things would be more fun.

I'm thinking mid January should be about right. How does Saturday, January 17th, 2009 sound?

Let's see..

plenty of advance notice - check

offer of food and beer - check

an excuse that we're actually doing something constructive - check

Any interest?

Note to self: Between now and then, tear into the ignition switch and see if a DailyCommuter Ignition Switch Repair is needed

According to the bill of materials the six pack is optional, but in this case with your buddies around it's essential.

One of my buddies needed a more specific time, so here it is:

Arrive anytime after three -- burgers & brats start hitting the grill at 4 PM Saturday, January 17th, 2009

I'll post a map later

If anyone besides me wants to make the Brodie relay, let me know. Otherwise, I can put one together some other time (or order one from Brodie).

Wish I could attend, but the the 1500 mile ride is kind of a drag in the snow, eh?

I got up this morning ready to post the map and I was happy to see some interest.

Here's the deal: I received my first PM this morning asking about the relays. I assumed there was no interest in relays and that everyone was just coming over to eat, drink, and shoot the **** (<Link> see Definition 1).

Next Saturday, January 17th 2009 at my house the Weber grill will be fired up in Defiance of Winter. Beer will be served. Those things are certain.

If you are serious about assembling relays, reply to this thread RFN! (<Link> see definition 1.) I'll see what I can do about getting the components. I'll let you know early next week if I am able to acquire the necessary components.

I changed the Topic Title, maybe that will clear things up. The original title "Mid-Winter jonesin' 2008-2009, a good excuse to get together" may have been too confusing.

"Get Together" should have been emphasized.

In Post # 1 "Any interest?" was meant to be a request for feedback.

Post # 5 set the start time at 3 PM (or so)

Now, about the relays... I need a number. [SIZE=14pt]The count is at three now.[/SIZE] If I don't hear otherwise, I'm ordering components to build three and the rest of you are going to be content with food and beer.

I am going to do my best to make it. I am defiantly in on making some wire harnesses. Consider me four. Let me know what I can do (bring) to help. I do have a prior engagement (that night) but am going to try and do some schedule shuffling with Momma.

If there's still room, I'd be interested in building a relay and beer. If you've already ordered parts, just beer will be fine!
