We went riding today in Malibu. Absolutely the most gorgeous day you could imagine. By the beach in the low to mid 70's and high 70's to low 80's (I don't know for sure, you guys with Gen2's what was the temp?) in the back country/mountains. Blue sky, asphalt, food, etc.

The gang.

We did most the major canyons today except Los Flores, construction issues. We did the following canyons: Topanga; Latigo; Kanan Dume; Malibu; Decker; Deer Creek (bloody goat trail, the worst road in SoCal.), and Tuna. We also did various small roads and a good chunk of Mulholland Hwy. We passed the Rock store, I think I stopped there for a split second, and Richard motioned for me to leave.... or he told me I was number one, I'm not really sure...

For John's sake we ate at The Reel Inn (none to soon, I thought he was going to eat road kill he was so hungry), fish food and other Cali food stuff.

I didn't bring a camera and I'm not sure anyone took any pix. Jdog did take some video, he'll post up when he's done editing.

Others post up of the ride. We need OM to come on our rides to document them. ;)

Oh NO Bluesy!

OUR ride was certainly more excellent.

Just home. Must take nap.

Yes a white Busa with Jdog on it.

Next time I know to eat a big breakfast and pack snacks (4 Quarter Pounders) when Richard is leading. The guy only eats once a day. WTF?

2:00pm is not lunch it's an early dinner.

Was there a hayabusa with you? I swear I saw this group go by my place.
That was probably us.
We did see a FeeJ go by (South on PCH @ 12pm) at Neptunes Net, and I saw one just after I left the Reel Inn (they were heading North on PCH, 2:40pm)

Fixed it for ya' Simon...

So Johnny80s is bringing up the rear all day except when running down the 405 log jam, now he leads the San Diego group homeward, lane splitting for about 80 miles... WTF? Good to follow you Johnny!

Summary: 11 hours 45 minutes and 419 miles. A great day.

Yes guys that sure was a lot of fun today, John we went on a ride today not a restaurant tour...............

The only picture I took today was one of the scrapes on Pegs bike after being knocked over by the bicycle......(too drunk to figure it out right now)

John, really great minds do think alike! On our FJR Forum, this is the operational mantra: "Ride To Eat, Eat To Ride!" Then eat some more. Also I thought that Fairlaner's daily meal was only in liquid form. Glad you had big fun with Good Friends!

He has to have his fish and chips then complain about it once a day. Just once I want to go somewhere with him and have him say this was great fish and chips.

I am more of commuter Roy. I never really get out to the twisties. Fun riding for me was chasing Fairlaner through San Francisco traffic.

Johnny the only way on this earth that Fairlaner is going to stop complaining about the bloody fish and chips is if you and he are in a restaurant in Greenwich between the Museum, the College and the Cutty Sark looking out on the River Thames, GB

I almost made it...could not get the kitchen pass in time to hook up though. These passes are tough to get sometimes. Sounds like a great time was had. Sorry I missed out now.

It was a picture perfect day but who has time to take pictures when the riding conditions

are this good. We were tearing up so many roads, I had trouble keeping track. There were

a couple I had issue with, La Tuna? (tore the hell out of my tires) and the one-way road down to PCH

(it had so many hair-pin turns). But the day was a blast, except for that bicyclist who T-boned my

Feejer when we were stopped. That A.H. was flying around that blind curve and could have stayed

closer to the center of the lane instead of hugging the shoulder. Luckily MsNascar jumped off before shit happened.

Lt to Rt are MsNascar, Big Dolma, Johnny 80's, FJRBluesman, jdog (hiding back),

jorstin, McRide, Fairlaner talking to WW'sFJR (out of picture), & MCML

Now here we are again with me in the middle and MsNascar cut out on the left

and now WW'sFJR in the picture on the right (partial to his helmet)

Getting ready to add kabobs to B-B-Q at MCML's pad after the ride.

Good thing John wasn't at the BBQ, or you guys would have gone away hungry while john porked it all down! :p

Looked like a great time Pegscraper.

Don't give me that, Tuna Canyon ate your tires! It was Deer Creek, the goat trail, that was like riding on shards of glass. You and MsNASCAR were weaving thru Tuna like a fine tuned machine! I had issues keeping up with you, two up.

All ya'll looked like you were having too much fun at MCML's. Glad all went well at Joe's and the BBQ looked EXCELLENT! Nice view too. I should have gone. :dribble:

Take care all, and ride safe. ;)
