Ok, I found this on the COG site, where I am a member and frequent contributor.

This app is free and you activate it when you're riding. If you should crash, it will notify a person that you designate by sending them a text that you may have crashed, and giving them your coordinates.

I downloaded this app and will try it out this weekend when I ride.

You can find the information here. My link

Let me know your thoughts.

Awesome concept.. My main concern would be the false warning that could occur and end up freaking out the recipient of the warning.

Very interested to hear your findings, and I will do some research as well.

It looks cool, but I'm wondering what it uses to sense that you've fallen or merely dropped your phone. It supposedly waits 30 - 120 seconds and if you haven't moved 8 feet sends out an SOS.

I went ahead and downloaded it and will test it this weekend. But, from the information online and in the app, you have the ability to turn it on and off. So, on when you're on an extended ride, off when there's no risk.

You can adjust the length of time between when it senses that you've fallen, and when it sends out the SOS. It will vibrate and let you know that it is getting ready to send the SOS, and you can touch a button to tell it not to.

Time will tell, but I think that this is an exceptional app, one that should give my wife at least some comfort while I am out riding with friends.

Hmmm, almost a free SPOT checker. One problem I see is if you're in an area w/o cell service. I wonder too, how does the phone determine you've crashed? Simply no movement for a predetermined time period, or an abrupt 'stop' detected by the accelerometer? I'm gonna download it and play around with a bit. Interesting...

HELP! I FELL AND CAN'T GET UP!!
Really? Hijacked for this?
Sorry, if I hurt your feelings, but it's not as if we need a good reason to hijack. Actually the flimsier the reason the better. :p

As for my thoughts. I knew about and tried your app a long time ago, but since I put my phone in airplane mode when on the motorcycle (so it's not constantly searching for a signal). This App was of no use to me. I also wondered if bumpy roads would set off the accelerometer on my phone and trigger CRADAR, if I put it in my tankbag and plug it in.

Since, I already have SPOT - I found no use for it, just like I didn't need the other Smartphone tracking apps, which provide real time tracking of where you are on your ride.

This seems pretty cool DK. Thanks for posting it up. I'll download it and try it to see how it works. Should be getting a SPOT soon, but until then...

I downloaded it too and plan to play with it, thought my wife will freak at the false positives.

Winter finally show up tonight so it will be awhile before I actually try it on the bike, but I think I'll see what sets it off in other environments.

It's a cool idea.

I downloaded it and tried it out yesterday. Here's my take.

First, you need the delay to be at leas 2 minutes, otherwise, it will drive you crazy when you come to a stop light. Second, when it goes into its notification mode, it vibrates and sounds an alarm to let you know that it's going to send notification. You will need to press a button to tell it not to, then it will delay for another 2 minutes. I think that mounting your phone in view, where you can get to it would be required.

As far as sending out the notification is concerned, we tried it out and it works as advertised. It sent notification within 30 seconds to my wife and gave her my exact location.

So, all in all, it performs as advertised, not certain that it's extremely valuable on my commute, but I'll use it on long rides.

There you have it, my .02 worth.
