I have been thinking of going to the "International Motorcycle Show" this year in Seattle but, for me it is nearly a 400mi trip (one way). I don't mine the drive or the cost if the show is a good one and worth it.

Has the "Seattle" show been a show worth going to in the past years? Are all the factories there with all their new stuff? Does this show usually draw allot of venders? Can the show be seen in one day?

I know allot of question but, I don't want to spend the time and money if this show has not been all that good. I am hoping, before I make the drive, that some of you, that have been there, can shed some light.

Thanks

I go every year, though haven't gone to any other 'internatinal motorcycle shows' so don't have much to compare it to.

Generally a pretty complete show with a lot of vendors. All the brands represented well. Some eye candy, but no umbrella girls. I always drive up from Portland for the day. Sometimes I do wish I did two days instead of one, but I usually don't need anything, so paying for a second day isn't worth it just to make sure I've seen everything I wanted to.

I think you can see it all in one day with a good approach. If you shotgun it, it's easy to miss some of the nooks and crannies.

I keep hoping for weather decent enough to ride up in, but it's usually a deluge the day I go to the show.

I went to the Seattle show last year. That convinced me to buy my FJR. Had a good chance to sit on all the bikes and talk to the reps. It's a good show and we plan to go this year.

400 miles for a bike show??? yer kiddin' right?

Yamaha was at the Mi show last year but I spent more time explaining the 06 fjr than any rep, Shit they were non existant, It was almost as though they didn't want to sell anything as I only saw one person with yamaha attire who may heve been associated with them.

Best factory reps? Victory far and away

400 miles ya gotta be bored :D

I'll be at the (local for me) CW International Motorcycle Show around December 8-10 at the Long Beach (California) Convention Center. I'm seeing quite a few FJRs during my rides around SoCal, including several at the Rock Store on Mulholland Canyon in LA yesterday, so I anticipate seeing some of you in LB at the show.

(By the way, about half of the 10 or so FJRs I saw yesterday were being ridden "bag-less." The Smuggler certainly helps that decision by carrying essentials...FJR ballcap, iced latte in a bottle, etc.)
