Rooms are $79.99 a night (one or two people, one or two beds). When calling for reservations be sure to tell them it is for the "FJR Rally" to get the special rate of $79.99 a night. (Note to our US Guests, these rates are in Canadian funds!).

The Motel 6 in Huntsville is a new facility located right next to Hwy 11. Rooms include free wireless internet and there is an indoor heated pool available year round. Within walking distance there are at least 4 restaurants (with more under construction). Downtown is an easy two minute drive and contains many more restaurants and shops.

Huntsville itself is located 2 hours north of Toronto in the heart of Cottage Country. It is a popular four-season family vacation area in the heart of Muskoka's cottage country. A thriving community of approximately 18,000 residents with a historic Town Centre surrounded by large rural areas of forest, lakes (the municipality boasts 144 lakes!) and wetlands. With Arrowhead Provincial Park and world-famous Algonquin Provincial Park close by, Huntsville is well known as a nature, recreation and resort destination.

For any US citizens considering heading North of the Border you are more than welcome to attend. But here are a few helpful tips:
Passports: As I understand it (and I may be incorrect on this) Passports will not be necessary to cross the border at the time of the rally. That said, I would
highly recomend getting a passport
if you dont have one. I cross the border several times a year by land and it is so much easier with a passport.
Money: Many restaurants and such do take US cash, but its a pain and the exchange rate is not in your favour. Get some Canadian cash. Personally when I travel to the US I just hit the first bank machine I see when I cross the border and grab what I need. Americans can do the same as the "interac" bank card system works with the US system. US credit cards are accepted with no problems here, the credit card company takes care of the exchange for you, nothing special needed when you pay.
Clothes: You will not need a parka or snow shows (probably). But the fall chill is in the air at this time of year. Packing some warm clothes aint a bad idea. If you get caught out there's a WallyMart across the road so you can buy something warm.
Strictly Verboten: Firearms are not allowed and you will very likely end up in jail if caught with one. Radar Detectors; Police see one and they will confiscate in exchange for a hefty fine AND the radar detectors will NOT be returned. (Note, the police have and use Radar Detector Detectors!)
Speed Limits: Kilometers Per Hour (KPH) not Miles Per Hour(MPH). When you see 100 on the sign it does NOT mean 100 mph. It means 62 mph.
