My passport X50 has proven itself to be a very useful tool for reducing donation$ to the man, and I expect nothing different from this. The tools for false alert removal for local riding would be a nice feature to have.Just got a head's up from Escort this morning. Looks interesting. Have a look for yourself at:

I wonder if it'll start filtering a favorite speed trap location? That might not be a plus. The tools for false alert removal for local riding would be a nice feature to have.
That's what I was hopin' for too. I bet it's right around the corner. I can see it now.........the new Garmin 2900 w/ radar detection, XM weather, XM traffic, XM radio, MP3, Bluetooth, HD TV, etc., etc. :blink:Hmmmm, why'd they stop were they did with this unit? As long as they stuck GPS into it, why not included mapping features and a full screen? :dntknw:

Notice the name at the bottom of the GPS. I'm pretty sure there is a room full of lawyers getting rich while they figure out if the detector goes in the GPS or if the GPS is going into the detector and who gets what royalties.Hmmmm, why'd they stop were they did with this unit? Oh, I know that. Just wonnerin' out loud cuz, it makes sense to combine the two...Notice the name at the bottom of the GPS. The 'Escort GPS' is really a Garmin unit in all but name. Reminds me of my wife's pickup truck whose tailgate read CHEVROLET. That was the only Chevrolet part on that truck, everything else was straight Isuzu.
GPS/XM/V1 and stereo bluetooth...GPS/XM/V1... I'd be able to consolidate my handlebar electronics down from 3 to 1 devices... that would be sweet...
Scratch what I said before. I must have been on drugs. Overall size is the same, although the shape is a bit different. The new one has a narrower front to it.Just picked me up one of these pups. Not the same form factor as prior generations. Much bigger! None of the covers or enclosures for prior models are gonna fit. Haven't tested it yet. Hope it works with my HARD setup.
