R.I.P. Our FJR Riding Friend
The ride included a stop for coffee at the Auburn Starbucks. RogDeb were there to drink coffee and say hello. It was nice for me to meet them and to also see an FJR in R1 red. Cool looking!
The people that rode with us were:
MadMike
Bluestreek 2up
Weekend Rider
Manager
and Ric In Sac 2up (get to work!)
Route:
Started at 49 and Bell Road in Auburn
49 to Lincoln Road
Lincoln Road to Foresthill Road
Foresthill to 49
49 to Cool
193 to Georgetown
Wentworth Springs Road to the snow (about 27 miles the snow was soon after Uncle Tom's Cabin turn off)
U turn back to Georgetown on 193
193 to Placerville (some really fun twisties where we all experience some rear end sliding as accelerating through turns)
then we all split and went home from there.
Red from Left to Right, doubleback then Green from there.
Great company and a fun ride made for a really nice Sunday. The roads were wet where there was shade, and there were spots where pine needles were scattered. Some spots where small mudslides left dirt on the road added to the various situations that required us to ride carefully. 193 up to Placerville from the American River was the best pace of the day.
Sherri needed the camera for her day with glass art, so I have no pics to share. I think I saw a camera pop out here and there so post up!
