Hi All,

I just finished popping-off the punkin :dribble: , eh, ummmm, that's sounds totally wrong... :D

...anyway...

The splines were thinly greased so I added a bunch of the Honda lube. All was well with the world. Until...

...while trying to reseat the driveshaft, much to my surprise, it popped out of the pumpkin. So, the question I've been slowly getting to is:

Do I need to worry about the gear-oil seal on the pumpkin-side of the drive shaft? I wasn't prepared for this so I'm concerned that it might start leaking. I cleaned the seal, which had a lot of dirt on it, coated it lightly with gear oil, cleaned the seat, and reinserted the drive shaft into the housing.

So, what do y'all think? Will it leak? Did I screw the pooch?

You probably will have to save the pooch for another day since you are not the first that this has happened to and probably will not be the last. Its unlikely that you will have any leaks or other problems but its a good excuse to take a ride and find out.

I'll have to put the wheels on first. they're currently at the dealer getting a set of Z6's put on.

I should say back at the dealer since he put them on backwards :butcher:
