Well, I got it installed. It did take a while for me to figure out where to cut the speedo signal so I wouldn't affect the ABS.
It all works like a charm and I now have a very accurate speedometer.

I did learn something interesting, the speedo and tach signal are sent to the meter panel on the same wire though a special protocol. So you have to make the adjustment to the speedo signal before it gets to the ECU, but after it leaves the ABS unit.
Here is a photo of the unit in place. I set it at 4% and now both my speedo and odometer are much more accurate. I tested the ABS and all bike functions operate normally, except now when the speedo says I am going 70, I really am going 70.
Oh noooo! He's cutting wires on his bike already!!!
