I put the Cee Baileys plus 2 on my bike today and shot some photos and did a 100 mile ride with it.

So far I really like it, and it is a huge improvement over stock. It provides a larger air pocket and reduces noise and buffeting. I don't have to run the volume on my Ipod as loud and I get better overall wind protection.

I don't get quite as much air flow in the full down position as I do with the stock shield, but it is still plenty sufficent, and it was 96 here today and I was still able to get enough airflow.

Additional photos have been added to my gallery that show the windshield in various positions and angles so you can get a better idea what it looks like.

Hi Fred,

The reason I ask is b/c I went to the CB site and noticed that there is a 2 " wide and a "Stock 18" width". Which one did you order?

Thanks again,

Rob

Thanks for the photos. Looking at the pictures leads me to a question. Does anyone think that the taller windshields might put too much pressure on the mounting mechanism? Looks like a lot of "leverage" to me.

Just a thought.

Fred,

What about backpressure? does the 06 design take care of that (i.e no need for the cutouts)?.

also: I'm only 5'6. I'm looking to decrease noise and buffetting. do you think the cee bailey thats the same size as stock will accomplish that mission (or should i go with the +2). I dont want to look a shield (but cant imagine that being the case with the screen set in the low position (even with the +2)).

I was waiting for the Vstream shield for the 06, but i have the feeling its going to be a +3, and i didnt want to go that high.

Before you go to the trouble of and expense of an aftermarket screen, put some washers under the W. This will increase the angle of lean, which eliminates the wind pressure on your back. Also eliminates turbulance and noise.

e-mail me if you need pics and instructions. {[email protected]}

I have not noticed any increase in back pressure with the Cee Baileys. If anything, it has less back pressure.

All in all, I really like the performance. Cee Baileys is the only company I know that actually uses a wind tunnel in the design of their windshields, and it shows.

Fred, have you done any rides with a pillion? Wondering how the flow is in the back seat.
Nope. My pillion is completly spoiled and ruined forever from riding on the back of the Wing. I seriously doubt I will ever get her on the back of the FJR.

Holy distortion, Batman! Izzat really that bad or is the camera doing the Hokey-Pokey?
+1 to that. I never could get used to the distortion of the Aeroflow windshield on my LT even though it was a superior wind management solution. That could be a show stopper for me.

FYI, I have lost about 2 mpg since installing the Cee Baileys.

The windshield does NOT distort and is optically correct. I am real happy with it's performance so far.

I'll vouch for the quality. I put the minus-two on mine. The quality of the Cee Bailey blows away the stock windshield (which frankly, looks like **** and actually flops around quite a bit)
