Rode two Gen 1 FJRs 2001-2013. For family reasons, haven't been able to get back on one but still looking for a chance to do so. So, for now, I'm bike-less. My profile pic is of the first FJR which was German-specs but, courtesy of the US Army, I was able to ship mine to the US as household goods. This was in OCT 2001, well before the first Gen 1s officially arrived in the US. Besides the obvious speedo difference, it was distinguishable by the fact that it had "YAMAHA" on the tank instead of the usual tuning fork.
