I have a 20S bluetoothed to a Garmin XT via page 18 'GPS Pairing' and it works fine. Smartphone is paired to the XT as well... no issues. I'm adding a Sena SM10 into the mix so I can get audible Radar into the headset. I've paired the SM10 to the 20s per the SM10 Manual page 19 'Pairing with the SR10...' (and I assume the SR10 and SM10 have the same procedure). The SM10 pairs and I can hear the Radar, however, the XT (music, Nav, Phone) falls off. If I power down the SM10, only then will the XT come back in. There is a priority glitch and I cant figure it out. Anyone have a sucessfull pairing procedure to follow?

This reminds me of an issue I had years ago with Sena had to do with the type of pairing one does. Do I recall a difference between "phone pairing" and "media paring"? I wouldn't assume and suggest diving into the actual manual(s) and see.

And/or view this thread. Erik is a smart fella'.

What radar detector? There is no app that you can use that will give audible alerts through the app and phone?
Escor iX... the app resisdes on the phone only. It lets me adjust radar settings... no issues. But the App is data only and does not provide a procedure to pair the audible 'Chirps' into the 20s.

Thanks, working through the protocols. SM10 is now paired to the 20s as 'Selective Media'. In the morning will try the pairing of the XT (with phone, media and GPS audible) into the 20s...stay tuned.

I have a similar set up, I think. I have a Cardo PackTalk Edge in my helmet. That is paired to my Motorola phone. With that I can hear audio from the phone for conversations, phone calls, navigation, music and notifications. I recently added a Cobra Rad700i radar detector to the mix and it is paired to the phone as well. Cobra/Escort/Passport/BEL (all the same company these days) has an app called Drive Smarter that will connect to the detector and relay the notifications from the detector to the phone. The app will also show a pop-up notification from the detector if the Drive Smarter app is in the foreground. The Drive Smarter app is a perfectly lousy navigation app but the fact that it relays radar alerts to the phone's screen is pretty neat.

Just to throw some more tech into the mix, I also have a DVR paired to the phone that has Android Auto on it. If Android Auto is in the foreground on that, the notifications also pop-up on the screen on it! Fun with crazy tech!
