    2006 Yamaha FJR 1300AE - Burlington, VT - $6500

18000 mi. - $6500 - This bike has been well maintained and absolutely trouble-free - All service done at local Yamaha dealer (except a couple of easy at-home oil & filter changes) - Has factory color-matched locking saddle bags and Givi tail rack (I'll include the original rack) (...and the...

    07 Interceptor 800 vs FJR

On the contrary, I think the VFR's bags are excellent - easier to use than the FJR's, if not quite as smoothly integrated overall... -Rob

    07 Interceptor 800 vs FJR

I've ridden down into the mid-30s on my '03 VFR. The FJR is much better for wind protection (and it's got heated grips!), but the Viffer isn't horrible. In the tight twisties, the VFR is a lot more fun. The FJR is awesome, but it's still a big bike. What else... VFR is great for one person...

    North COuntry LDW Sightings

9/1 or 9/2 (?) - Cruising down the "main drag" in Errol, NH I spied a silver FJR taking a break with a couple of its buddies. NE1 here? I was 2up on the Silver '06 AE... 9/3 - With NY plates (and SWANKY CF HJC helmets!) We parked next to you at the East Side Restaurant in Newport. What a...

    NH Fall Ride

Lol... He thinks it's free!! Okay, so a couple things: 1. VanHarlan - VT in late Oct. can be snowy!! Prob'ly not, but you never know! Oh, and if you are coming, let me know and maybe I'll tag along for a spell... 2. If you ask me (and I knew you would) group "formation" is generally...

    Renting an FJR in Denver

I rented the very same bike back in June for a 1700-mile 2up odyssey stretching from Denver to Minturn down to Dolores and over to South Fork and Lake City... not necessarily in that order. A fantastic trip!! Did I like the FJR? Hell yes!! I bought one when I got home!! The rental company...

    Tank Bag Recommendations? Anyone?

That's a good-looking bag too... I think I like it better than the Recon. There are images there for the magnetic mount bag and removable mapcase installed... Mouse over the "Magnetic" & "Regular" buttons and the little camera... Thanks for the model number!

    Tank Bag Recommendations? Anyone?

Those with the RECON 19 - Is there adequate clearance for full-lock handlebar turns in both directions? It looks reeal nice! How long have you had them and are they holding up well? Two things I hate about a black tank bag , like every one I've ever owned: 1. Do I want my stuff even hotter...

    Tank Bag Recommendations? Anyone?

Thanks for all the input so far, FJers, and the tips on searching. Very helpful all... As far as what I plan to carry in it, it's usually glove raincovers, extra earplugs, Autocom/FRS/MP3/cell, maps (a window would be nice), sidestand plate, Gerbings switch, water bottle or hydration bladder...

    Tank Bag Recommendations? Anyone?

I've searched and, much to my amazement, I couldn't find a thread about good tank bags. I was surprised not to find it in the "Never-Ending Pointless Recurring Threads" forum... Anyway, as the title says, what works for you?? Loving my first week with the FJRAE, Rob

    FJR AE questions from FNG

First of all, great forums!! I've enjoyed lurking here thus far and am hoping I'll find the time to participate in frequent discussion... One problem I've noticed is that the search function doesn't like 2-letter search terms which, when trying to find info about the AE, is not all that...
