    Pirelli Angel STs

Judging from your avatar, I'd say you've got me beat. I'm glad I saw it while washing, too.

    Pirelli Angel STs

I've not run Stradas but I don't think there are central wear bars on the Angels. DC - Don't be thinking I'm ever gonna forget you helping me out when I was stuck in Colorado with the dreaded ignition switch failure. When we meet and you and I are not riding/driving home - count on a massive...

    Pirelli Angel STs

Just short of 10K miles but I know that's subjective given the roads, driver and all. I've gotten more out of ME-880s (thanks HaulinAshe!) and less out of others. I was just shocked at the amount of cord showing after a few hours.

    Pirelli Angel STs

I just finished up a set of Angels and had a little surprise. They were getting long (short?) in the tooth so I had my eye on them. Last night I changed final drive oil as it was due and had some weeping. This morning I took a short ride and checked for leaks. I also checked both tires...

    Rider shot in the back

Jesus. He followed them for 3 minutes before they decided to get away from the cage that was following them (look at the raw, no-sound clip). They probably didn't even know it was a cop. I would have goosed it to get away from a nutcase following me at 2am, too. Then I'm sure I would have...

The blond is getting new riding gear

Nah, that's an old wives tale.

    Brake Bleeders (mityvac 6830)

I have trouble imagining how it can be done without the MityVac. When I did mine a few months ago I gently pumped the clutch with the cover off the reservoir and put brake fluid on the ceiling.

Return from World Superbike, SLC to PDX

Wow, that's a big canvas. It's a bit in the wrong direction but southern Utah has some world class roads and sights. UT-12 near Bryce and Zion rivals the BRP, the Trace and the Coast Highway in my book. Geeze, on the ride back you just can't go wrong (I picked up my Feej in Issaquah). The...

    Quick glance tire pressure check

Cruppelt - I like the cost/benefit ratio on this one. I just ordered up a set along with the short stems. They'll go on with the PR2s I've got waiting in the garage. Thanks for posting!

New owner of 2006 in North Carolina

You know the first step toward recovery is admitting that you have a problem. :)

04' with 44K quieter than 08' with less than 3K??

I can't believe you guys fell for this. From an FNG no less. You da man, Fjryder! You'll fit in just fine around here. Now, can you get 'em started on oil and filters? :clapping:

    Cycleport Dye Job

By golly, you're right! I'll consider myself a Hawkeye fan instead. They're much closer (and they don't make that unpleasant "buzzing" sound). :D

    Cycleport Dye Job

No. Last time I corresponded with Wayne all he had to say was essentially "better luck next time." My dealings with Cycleport are thus concluded. Sad because my S.O. was just in the market for gear. Her Olympia Airglide is on it's way.

    Cycleport Dye Job

CP? You've got me on that one. The Dharma website had pretty good instructions for dyeing. I took a guess at how many pounds of material the jacket is and added what they recommended for dye and citric acid. Apparently the acid helps the material absorb the dye. You can use vinegar but I...

    Cycleport Dye Job

They still look black to me. If there's a brown shade to them it's too subtle for my old eyes to see.

    Cycleport Dye Job

Last summer I posted some pictures of my Motoport Hi-Viz jacket that suffered from extreme fading (thread). I finally got around to dyeing it after reading a post from another forum. I thought I'd post some before and after shots (click on thumbnails for larger images): I ordered the dye from...

    Cycle Hill vs. NoMar Classic

You're a wise fellow Harald. I've got a long ride coming up and I think I'll follow your lead. Thanks for reminding me to keep the used shoes handy for the next lonely traveler.

    Cycle Hill vs. NoMar Classic

If you're a truly cheap bastard (like me) you could go this route: It's really just a matter of getting your technique down.
