Greetings from South-Central New York State

Welcome from southeast PA! Did the valve check and CCT on my 2007 last summer at a “tech day” in Ohio (Thanks Andy!). I was in the company of experts so unfortunately I did more helping than doing so I’m probably not the best candidate to help you with that but I do have a shim kit and I’m...

    Tennessee Owners

Excellent advice, Rbentnail. I’m fortunate to have a buddy near me who rides BMW’s. I’ve never held that against him and he can even keep up with me (most of the time😛). So it would make sense to reach out to any other rider who might share interests other than just riding regardless what...

    Tennessee Owners

Don’t second guess your decision. I bought a V-Star 250 as my first bike in over 30 years. Three weeks later I was on my first FJR (an ‘07) and then two years later (last year) I upgraded to a ‘14. No looking back. 😁

Hopefully you’ve directed the new owner of your “old faithful” FJR to the forum. 👍🏼

    Tire sealant? Roadside flat fix

Thank you for posting this thread. I’ve been wondering what I should carry on the bike for tire puncture issues. Also, note to self and whoever else it concerns: Wrap a ratchet strap around the rim and tire when tying down rather than hooking a bungee strap to the tread. 😜

    Groundhog Day

After lots of rain to wash salt off the roads and a balmy 45 degrees here in southeast PA, I was back in the saddle yesterday (2/3/24) for the first time since our New Year’s Day ride! 👍🏼

    Stacking Admore lighting kits together

Sorry, I was having trouble accessing the Admore website when I was researching that question so in my impatience I reached out to the Forum to get the answer. I’m embarrassed about making the inquiry now that I know the information was easily accessible on the website. Admore allows up to...

    ABS rear brakes engaging

Don’t know about delaminating brake lines but I do have experience with delaminating hydraulic lines on cranes. The phenomenon can cause all kinds of havoc - especially when loose bits of inner lining start getting lodged in places where they can create restrictions/blockages or act like...

    Hello from Colorado

You’ll find my two cents is literally only worth about two cents due to my inexperience with other make/model bikes. I stumbled across a used (2007) FJR quite by accident after deciding I needed more storage and wouldn’t mind a little more power than my VStar 250 mustered. Once I got over the...

    I am new among you.

Not sure how this picture made it past the admins but this is a family forum, John. Showing an FJR in a state of undress (sexy as it is) may not be suitable for all audiences… 😛
