    Soupy's adjustable side stand

Soupys sells a neat device that is just made for that kickstand. It's a bolt on larger foot that should do just what you want. Check it out on their website.

in the company of fast women

Riona, Great description of your introduction to the wonderful world of 'track time' on a bike. I spent a lot of time out at SIR when I lived in the Seattle area and as you said, learned 10,000 more about how to ride a bike then one could ever learn on the street. This past weekend I rode up...

I need an Audieovox Cruise expert......

Yup, you have to pull the rear cover off the servo unit where the wires are terminated. In there is an LED and if you have the info available you can tell how the thing is operating by looking at the blinking LED codes. It pretty much will tell you if all the connections are proper and if the...

    Seat Advice

I have owned my 05' since new and have gone thru a variety of different style and mfg. seats. Got a Russel this Winter and agree 100% with the other guys, it is the absolute best! Sorry I didn't get one years ago!

what is suppose to be on the handlebar end if you have heated grips ?

Ok, here's the scoup! On most any motorcycle you will want some sort of a weighted end cap to help dampen any vibration that will be transmitted from the enging to the handle bars. These weighted end caps come in various sizes and weights depending if they are OEM or after market. As was...

    So what's the best battery?

I installed a Shorai battery installed in my '05 since Jan. and I love it! I have HID headlights and HID ('eyes of god') driving lights, heated grips, heated seats, radar detector, GPS, Starcom system, tire pressure monitor, etc etc etc and have NEVER had a problem. When riding with the heated...

Russell Seat, Adjustable Links, Adjustable Kick Stand, Heli Bar Installation.

You might find that your adjustable link made 2" longer then the stock links may be a bit too much. I think using a link length of 1" longer will lower your bike approx. 7/8". However, you also should lower the front end an equal amount by raising the forks in the triple clamps. That way your...

    Lowering options

I have also recently installed the Soupy's adjustable links and their adjustable side stand. After owning my 05' for 8 years and riding over 50,000 I have asked myself why I didn't do it sooner. I have set the links to approx 1" lower and lowered the front an equal amount. For using the side...

    FJR Lowering Links

Rollie, thank you very much for that info on the linkage lengths vs. lowering amount. I have installed the Soupys adjustable links and lowered the rear suspension 'some amount'! Kinda difficult to actually measure how much the bike has been lowered. I have set the adjustable link to a length...

    FJR Lowering Links

What I was looking for is the hole to hole measurement of a lowering link such as the Kouba links. On my 05' FJR the factory links have a center to center hole spacing of 6.25". For a Kouba link tht lowers the bike 7/8" what is the length of the link center to center of the bolt holes? Just...

    Exhaust pipe dent!

Thanks every one for the replys. I went for a 300+ mile ride today and just finished checking the plugs and they all look great. Guess I'll sleep well tonight and worry about other things! Bustanut, thanks for the offer. Don't be surprised if I do show up one of these days! Thanks again folks!

    Exhaust pipe dent!

Well it's definitely only 1/8" deep by approx. 1" long and 1/16" wide. Thinking of all the twists and turns etc an exhaust pipe make and that the pipe is also slightly larger in diameter then stock (that's how Dale made them) I would tent to agree that the harmfull effect would be minimal...

    Exhaust pipe dent!

I did read that and that's my concern as well. I have ordered new pipes but wasn't too sure if I could still be ok to ride it for a few weeks in the mean time!

    Exhaust pipe dent!

I just discovered a 1/8 dent in one of my exhaust header pipes. The dent is just behing the front lower curve of the pipe. I have Dale Walker headers. Should I be overly concerned with this dent and replace the headers? Thanks!
