The bike is too heavy, I cant turn it upside down and shake it, so I run a quart of oil through.

Mine makes that noise too. As far as the seat is concerned, I came off of an 02 Honda Silverwing last year. The Silverwings seat was practically a sofa cushion. Im slowly getting use to the seat on the FJR.

I live in central Ohio and no dealership within reach would wheel and deal. All the dealers told me, "This is the only FJR Im gonna get this year." So, I paid full price for mine. But anyway, congrats and keep the rubber side down!

You guys are hard core. :blink: Am I the only one that thinks 500 miles on a bike is a long haul? From my place in Ohio to my fathers house in Va is 500 miles. I stop for a gas, lunch and tinkle breaks. I can do the trip in nine hours. At the end of the trip, Im spent!

In the dead of summer, my shins get warm, but thats the only complaint about the heat that I have. I seriously considered the ST as well. I read all that I could on the two bikes for a few months last year. Everything I read, the new FJR was just a nose ahead of the ST. Good luck on your...

I started with a 2002 Honda Silverwing. I put 15k miles on it in three years. Moving to the FJR was quite a step up for me.

I second that, I'm just north of Columbus. No relief in site. :cold:
