Atlantic to Pacific & Beyond Trip

I can't speak for much more than Texas but at that time of the year, I would sure watch the weather as tornado activity in April and May can get pretty hairy...especially in central to west texas. Ride safe!

    Oil Warning Light

I agree...I had read this in my search but I was still looking for a "cause" as I had been very precise in following the suggested steps. Yet, it was the first time I had changed this filter. Reading an excellent article written by Mark Lawrence at calsci.com about oil and filters was helpful...

    Oil Warning Light

I have googled this subject and looked in the Bin o Facts yet haven't found a cause. I bought my bike an 06 in July 08. Changed oil immediately but not the filter. Rode the bike about 4000 miles and changed the oil PLUS the filter last weekend. Used Yamaha oil and filter. I rode the bike...

    Tourmaster Synergy

I have the vest and gloves. This is the 2nd season for the vest and it has been a good investment. Performs as advertised. If you go with the gloves order the next size over your regular size.

    Harley-Davidson Seeks Bank Bailout Funds

well sir...I didn't mean to upset some folks with my comments, it's just that subject, is hard not to discuss it without a little passion. I'm not trying to bash anything...it's just an "honest opinion". I'm not on a soap box or anything else. Consider this, there is a new Harley Store...

    Harley-Davidson Seeks Bank Bailout Funds

In all due respect....where do you end the "handouts". I bought my FJR because it is a perfect fit for me and my style of riding. I didn't buy a Harley or even consider it as I believe it is grossely over rated, and over priced. I used my money to buy the FJR. Why do I have to use "my tax"...

    Riding in single digit weather.

Ya know I agree. I am 6'2" at 264 today (winter weight) and with a pair of over pants,a neck gatter, synergy vest and gloves I am really very comfortable riding in the mid 20's. The ride is enjoyable and the handguards do a great job. And, the comments one picks up at the convience stores are...

    Look out there's a deer!

....unfortunately the ole addage to watch for the critters early in am and late in the afternoon...really doesn't work around here....I've seen more deer standing, crossing or running down the road from 10 AM until 3 PM. Just missed one last summer who was standing on the edge of the road...

rear hard case for 05 that doesn't cause front end wobble

I'm sure not a so called "scientist" on this issue but I have experienced it myself. First time I thought the rear tire was going flat. Others have given answeres based upon their personal experience and no doubt what they experienced was real for them. Apparently the size of ones body and...

    Look out there's a deer!

Ya' know you got a point there but the season is too short...unless your a bow hunter. Extending the season could make a big difference.

    Look out there's a deer!

Sadly your experience is "right on" . The new stats as annouced by the WV DNR put us at number 1 nationally. What amazes me is the Harley riders around here ride with "abandon" in the "high-traffic deer" areas. They claim their loud pipes scare the deer. Ha! My son is a General Surgeon at a...

Synergy Electric Glove Fit Chart? Where can I find one?

I bought a pair of the Synergy Gloves a couple of months ago. I have large hands also and went by the sizing chart. They fit but they are tight. I would recommend going a size up over what they suggest. It is important that this style of glove fit snuggly. I have found that gloves stretch...

    Look out there's a deer!

The West Viriginia DNR is throwing up there hands in frustration because they can't control the deer population. It seems that "Bambi" is bent-for-leather to committ sucide and maybe take some human types with them as they travel to the "other side of the river". Shoutin' at em' doesn't work...

    camera mount

Although this is not the same camera, there is a dude on AtlasRider.com that buys small digital cameras and places them inside of his helmet. He gets great video and audio including any comments he feels like making. He shows how he does it and the outcome is good. It is not for everybody...

So you found the bike of your dreams....

I have a good friend who wants to buy a “trike” . The other day he calls me and sez', “ found one”! He gave me the link to the bike on Motorcycle Trader. Com. So, I took a break from what I was doing to look it up on the website. Sure enough, there it was...and it was a beaut. A Honda...

    The coolest video... ever!

That was great! I have shared that with my sons.....all four of them. Two are in the military at present. Make me proud. Thanx for the post.

    I love my FJR, but

I've never seen one of the bikes here where I live....I guess you could say I'm sheltered....others..."your under a rock"! Anyway I did a little searchin' on the web for a picture....there it was ! Your right, looks like a combat device. It is radical just as the designer wants it to be with...

    Using Handheld CB's

I use the PTT. This is my 2nd setup following a Chatterbox. I found early on that VOX only leaves a lot to be desired.

    Using Handheld CB's

Hey...that is really good work! Nice job. I don't know how well this would work due to the dimensions of the Cobra (it is much longer). The other concern is the proximity of the unit to the ignition system. I really don't know if this is a problem if I use an antenna mounted at the rear of...

    Using Handheld CB's

Thanks for the reply. Any chance of getting a pic? If not, where did you attach the bracket? (don't know what is meant by the "left threaded hole") Is the antenna the common variety like a FireStick or is it something that modifies the "ground plane". Have no idea what that...
