    anyone use Airhawk by Roho

I have a medium cruiser Airhawk but I haven't used it since I bought my Bill Mayer. It really helped when I was riding a stock seat.

    Bill Mayer Saddle

Thanks but I don't like the looks.

    Skullcandy Asym Earphones

I have a set of custom earbuds and find that for extended periods (4+ continuous hours of wear) my Etymotic er6i earbuds are more comfortable, although they do not have the same fidelity. My custom earbuds start to hurt my ears and actually cause blisters to develop in my left ear canal. And I...

Russell Seats taking a stance... (my rant)

Good luck! This is the first time I've heard of a problem with a Russell seat on a FJR (or any bike for that matter) as far as interfering with saddlebags.

    mpg

Average 33-38 mixed riding around Norfolk, VA (lots of stop & go). Average 43-46 on the Interstate riding @ 80-85 mph. I reached 230 miles on three tanks of gas last trip before I hit reserve - never put more than 5.2 gallons in either.

    Anyone use one of these?

+1 on the pinlock! As posted, beware how you store the insert when not on your shield because the side that goes against the shield is very soft. Wrapping it in a microfiber towel still won't protect it if there is any kind of weight able to shift on it - the friction of the microfiber towel...

    New Yamaha/Givi discovery

I like that better than my Givi V46!

    Noob with some questions

Bruce - welcome aboard. I have the Alpinestars Web Gore-Tex boots. Wore them to MS and back last week after only one week of break-in and only had one problem (I put in a new set of insoles that caused the top of my feet to get blisters because they were too tight - my fault not the boots)...

    What are the odds??

Rich - It was good to meet ya! Eddie and I rode on for another gas stop. I ended up getting a room in Dandridge, TN and he kept on heading East. I finally made it back up to Norfolk, VA around 11:00PM last night after spending several hours in Asheville. Some really good roads around your...

    What are the odds??

Left Natchez, MS this morning headed to Asheville, NC. Stopped at a Shell station in Lebanon, TN to get gas & piss - imagine that, another '07 FJR was getting gas. Turned out the rider (Eddie) was from Oregon and over visiting family in the Asheville area and had ventured over to Nashville for...

    Grip Puppies...

Small size from California Sport Touring as well. Love 'em - no problems with rain or feel, but I don't push the bike much into the SPORT side of riding.

    Old Helmets

I like to give them to various fire departments around town for training - same for EMS.

    Bill Mayer Saddle

I haven't found anything that I really like the looks of for the FJR.

    Bill Mayer Saddle

I traded my Spencerized seat & a few bucks to another forum member a little while ago for his Bill Mayer Saddle. I was not real sure I had made a good decision. I was never uncomfortable around town, but I wasn't in Utopia! Saturday morning I left Norfolk, VA @ 4:00 AM headed to Natchez, MS...

    Garmin Quest 2 GPS

Screen is defintely small and needs a sun shade for those times when the sun is at your back. Very light and easy to use (IMO). I still have a first generation Quest packed in a box somewhere. Even with it's limited map capacity it allowed me to make a Norfolk, VA to Jacksonville, FL to Baton...

Zumo 450 comes with City Navigator, right?

Regardless of which Garmin you get, you are only authorized to use the mapset with that particular unit. Likewise, if you purchase a new updated mapset for a unit that you already own, you will only be able to use it with that GPS. One mapset = one GPS (unless you pay a fee to Garmin for...

BullCBX is an official crash club member

Bull, As someone who's had the skin fileted off two finger joints - I sincerely wish you a speedy rehab. It will take some time before you are able to comfortably make a fist. As that skin heals, it will tighten up - and it will tighten back up initially after each rehab session. Best of luck!

Wonder how Garmin would treat this if still under warranty? :o

    Base Stickers?

Been there - done that. Not to show my MSF card, but because my black leather jacket - with 2" wide retroreflective tape sewn to both front shoulders and across the back shoulders & waist - did not meet the gate guards definition of "a brightly colored upper outer garment" just after dawn. So...
