    Speeding - ticket?

Had an unmarked unit (clear windows and all) pull me over for doing 62 in a 45. I got off the bike and explained that registration & insurance were under the seat. He took the registartion and my license back to his car, said he didn't need proof of insurance. Came back a few minutes later...

    +1 To Farkle Master

I've seen some posted here on this forum, but you'd have to do a search to find them. Otherwise you can wait until next week and I'll post a pic of mine.

I've ordered in the past from them and would not hesitate to do so again.

    +1 To Farkle Master

I ordered a N/Line dash shelve for the FJR yesterday. Not paying attention to what I was doing, I checked out before I added the universal mounting bracket in my cart. I then ordered the universal mounting bracket separately, fully expecting to pay full S&H charges. Imagine my surprise when I...

A Few Questions on GPS Units

While I may not like the talking bit, the one thing that keeps me continually shying away from the GPSMAP 276C is that it does not do street names. Non of the GPSMAP series do. My personal preference is also for non-touch screens like the marine GPSMAP series, but I really depend on...

A Few Questions on GPS Units

Motorcycle mounting kit for Quest It still has the jack for earplugs, though. This is the only power cable, for motorcycle or marine use, that I am aware of.

A Few Questions on GPS Units

I currently have my GPS mounted in a Garmin m/c mount on a 3" RAM arm and a clutch cover base. However, I ordered a N/Line Dash yesterday in order to mount my GPS centered above the speedometer without obstructing the tach or info center.

A Few Questions on GPS Units

As for the talking GPS directions - I hate it! Even when I put it in the truck, I mute the volume.

A Few Questions on GPS Units

You're right - thanks for clearing that up. MapSource is included with the purchase price though and is not an extra purchase like some of the other GPS units (276C for example).

A Few Questions on GPS Units

Do a search for Garmin 2610. These units are discontinued but can still be found, sometimes refurbished, for a little over $100. The refurbished units come with Garmin's 12 month warranty, just like a new unit would. I will never buy a GPS that is not from Garmin. Their customer service is...

Welcome home Bulldog. Now go and enjoy the ride.

    Good deal???

I know what it's like to ride a bike that you think "may" have a problem. It's not fun and can really limit your enjoyment on a ride or even prevent you from going on a ride. Can you afford the $3500 without impacting any other area of your life? How much is your peace of mind worth? I, if...

fjr vs concours 14 vs BMW

The way I read their article If you want the most competent touring of the three: BMW If you want the sportiest of the three: C14 If you want the best of both worlds: FJR Hmmmm, why did I buy a sport-tourer, again?

    Why Sat radio

A word of caution on the lifetime subscription - it is only good for the "lifetime" of the radio that you buy it for. If you upgrade to a new radio, you forfeit the subscription on the old one and have to buy a new lifetime subscription.

    Gen II Seat advice

Everyone's butt is different. :dntknw: I put 26K miles on my Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 Classic with a stock seat in 23 months. My longest one-day ride was 650 miles and it was painful! I used a sheepskin after that and only had one day that exceeded 400 miles, and that was still a lot of pain...

    Gen II Seat advice

Spook, Sorry for the delay. I put a little over 300 miles on the FJR Saturday and I have absolutely no complaints on the Spencer mod. No hot spots - no sharp edges - no muscle fatigue. While I was originally planning on buying a sheepskin "just in case", I am not going to do it now - I am...
