I have the 07 "Black Cherry" also. I do like the bagless look, but I use my bike everyday to commute so I leave my bags on all the time. They only come off at bath time.

They are hard to find in Houston. Therefore I don't think the dealers are willing to deal. I paid full sticker for mine at Houston Yamaha because I am an impatient sucker. By the way, there service department sucks.

Its already hot in Houston. Got my 07 on Mid March and already got 3000 miles on her.

+1 I just stuck it to the bottem of the lid on the glove compartment. Doesn't take any room inside and when you open the lid, it just moves out of the way.

45 here. Finally got old enougn and smart enough to decide it was OK to have fun and be comfortable too. Daily commuter here in Houston.

I've run about 5 tanks of gas through my 07 so far and I am averaging in the neighborhood of 45mpg. I've seen 43 on the low side and 47 on the high side

I've got 1500 miles on my "07" with no paint chips yet. The plastic piece on the front of my windshield did break off though.

Caught a retread in the windshield of my car once. Destroyed my windshield wipers and gouged my windshield. Sounded like a bomb went off.

I assume you are right. I don't see how it could be a fluke. Someone must have "torqued" that piece to make it break that way. Just glad that it wasn't anything that made the bike unrideable. 1000 miles now and counting. Love this bike.

New 2007 FJR with 500 miles. The trim piece on the outside of the windshield that covers the windshield attachment screws broke. Dealer ordered a new one and will install under warranty. It has two attachment screws and the plastic broke at both points. Anyone else have this problem?
