Thanks, WC, but that seems to move both the clutch and the switch housing (and thus the grip) outboard, keeping the grip/clutch lever relationship the same. I need to move the clutch outboard while keeping the grip/switch housing where they are. The real question is whether this is *normal* on...

When I grab the clutch on my four-day-old '06 1300A for a shift, the ball end of the clutch lever lands between my ring and little fingers. That's with my hand pretty much up against the hilt--and I don't have big hands. It seems like I need to loosen the clamps and slide the clutch assembly...

My dealer said, "Heat it with a hair dryer and then slide waxed dental floss under it." Haven't tried it but it sure sounds safer than knives and razor blades. I'll let you know.

To branch off this thread a bit, has anyone ever tried to put one of the under-grip heaters like Symtec between the FJR grip and a Grip Puppy? Seems it would work, even providing some insluation between the heater and the bars. I may just give it a try, given the low cost of both items.
