    CanAm Spyder

It has variable power steering and I would hate to think what it would feel like without it. Obviously (or maybe not so obviously) you don't counter steer this thing; you have to muscle it through the corner. On top of that, it leans outward. You steer right, it leans left. For folks who have...

    Vegas Baby!!

After spending time with the extended family tomorrow, my son and I are flying out to Vegas! Five days of, well you know, Vegas stuff. ;) It's his first trip out west so we'll be doing a little sightseeing for sure, but some time will be spent at the tables. Our friends have given us sooooo...

    Waving Etiquette

Sorry, didn't vote as none applied to me. You know the saying, "If I had to explain, you wouldn't understand"? Well here is a decent explanation.... The Wave By Tom Ruttan CYCLE CANADA - APRIL 2002 The bike's passenger seat swept up just enough that I could see over my father's shoulders...

    Biketoberfest FJR Sightings

The last time I was at a Hooters, the only thing skinnier than the waitresses legs were the wings. Gail and I rode up that Friday, but took the LT.

AE Pilots - Shifting technique - blip the throttle or not?

More throttle (blip) = more slipage and a smoother shift? Maybe?

    Grizzly Bear Hunt

I think we agree on this, other than our definition of abuse. My opinion is worth no more than anybody elses.

    Grizzly Bear Hunt

Self preservation and self gratification are two completely different things. Hunting traditions were born of the need to survive, tempered by the need to perserve species for future generations. Try coupling that with the premise that we are part of natures plan, not it's administrator. True...

    Grizzly Bear Hunt

So......got any good Grizzly recipes? Cuz if they ain't eatin' it, why are they killing it? Unless of course, it was tryin' to kill them. Now if you want to take it on with a knife, have at it. May the best mammal win. I just don't get trophy hunting.

Anybody catch X Games last night?

Saw it this morning on Sportscenter; sat there shaking my head. I did some crazy shit on a dirtbike when I was younger (10 ft tall & bulletproof), but the thought of doing a backflip really never occured to me. Let alone doing a DOUBLE!

How about a saftey tip from each member?

Look where you want/need to go and ride the bike. If you think you can't stop, RIDE THE BIKE. If you think you're going too fast for the corner, RIDE THE BIKE. Get run off the road, RIDE THE BIKE. Never admit you're going to crash, RIDE THE BIKE. No matter what happens, RIDE THE BIKE.

Wait for the 07 AE vs. getting an 06 AE now?

That's been my theory all along. Just makes sense.

    AAA service for a bike

Around here, if they fire the flatbed up it's $80.

    AAA service for a bike

$99 for my most recent renewal. Not everybody will mess with towing a bike, but they'll find someone. Another good thing with KOA/Allstate, they will pay to have it towed to the nearest authorized repair facility. When you own a BMW, that can be hundreds of miles.

    AAA service for a bike

Yes, they will send a flat bed if that's what you tell them you want. I've used it once (wheel bearing on my Uni-Go) and they were very responsive. Took about an hour to get someone out. The owner of the tow company promptly closed up on us after getting us back to the shop, but I can't blame...
