    What to wear..

My two piece aerostitch with all the pockets filled with ice. water bladder in the tank bag is a life saver for staying hydrated.

    OEM Yamaha heated grips

They work better than any of the BMW factory heated grips and an aftermarket set on my VStrom (don't remember the manufacturer). Both those were only off, low or high.

    gps mounting

I've got a Lowrance and used MC Larry's replacment steering stem nut with threads for the ram ball. Great location that gives me flexibility with a long RAM arm. Plus not very noticable.

A fantastic upgrade for next gen FJR

One reason I ride is to keep things simple, when I see cooling systems, radios, etc. I might just as well get a convertible....

    What to wear..

I always wear my two piece aerostitch - in hot weather I load all the pockets with ice. Carry a camel back (half ice, half water at the start) in my tank bag so I can drink while moving. This was about the smartest trick I ever put into use.

Suspension! 2 years later. How is the 8 rebound, 8 compression and 2 lines showing working out for you?

Tire pressure is the most likely culprit - I've experienced this intermittently when I don't stay on top of tire pressure or inadvertently run too high pressure in the front.

I'm thinking this would be a great Birthday present to myself, nice bike and the longest flynride for me so far. Last two were only 800 miles or so.

Nice bike and your correct - airfare to Vegas is cheap. Do you know how often the shuttle runs between Vegas and St George? May be getting ahead of myself, but are you in town 5-7 July if someone were to need to pick it up then?
