    Reverse Trike

Yes I will have 5-point harnesses for sure. Unfortunately the steering does turn quite a bit, it's about 3 turns each direction so unfortunately it's not as nice as I'd like but it will have to do for this build.

    Reverse Trike

Yeah, good point. I can't seem to find a collapsible match for this steering box though. If I get the money I might just change to a rack and pinion and then go with a collapsible...

    Reverse Trike

Ok, got the steering all done except for the steering wheel and shaft, I’m waiting on a couple parts. I’m thinking I’m going to put in a U-joint as more of a safety feature than anything in case of an accident I don’t want the steering shaft to become a spear, hopefully the U-joint will allow...

    Reverse Trike

Thanks! Well I made it pretty close to the doner... I put the upper and lower control arms the same distance (virtically) from each other as they were on the doner. I added a little more anti-dive to the upper control arm by about 3 degrees compared to the doner. I put caster at +5 degrees...

    Reverse Trike

I'm going to mount it up high behind the driver and the body will have an air scoop to direct the air to it. Yeah it has a 122 inch wheel base so it should handle like a sportscar!

    Reverse Trike

Here is my latest progress. She's standing up all by herself now! I found out the water pump cover is busted and I need a new one and the radiator is damaged, hopefully I can repair it but that seems to be the only damage I need to deal with.

    Reverse Trike

Here's the latest update on the trike; I got all the supports totally done and adjusted the rear suspension to the right height by cutting and shortening the dogbones and welding them back together. I got my wheels in and tires on!!! So now I've been able to start creating the suspension...

    Reverse Trike

Awesome thanks for the info! Yeah I've absolutely planned to install a car tire on the rear and I've see that thread to it's a good one for information. I go the size tire I needed from that thread and the fact that I'll have to fabricate a new brake caliper brace bar for the tire clearance...

    Reverse Trike

Ok latest update, I got all the support bars built, mounted and fully welded on. I made sure that the bike would detach before I welded them in place permanently. Got the bike all perfectly square and true. In these pictures the bike’s rear suspension is holding it in place and I can get...

There was a theft from Isabella's home

I think I have that part. I'll have to verify if it's left or right but I know I have one of them. If you want me to take a look, let me know?

    Reverse Trike

Here's a few things I got done this weekend. Got the roll bard bent and in place and some of the bracing back to the bike done.

    Reverse Trike

Thanks for the compliments. Yeah I'm still kicking around ideas for the reverse gear, I have an electric winch that I'll probably use. Most guys will build a sprocket that drops down on the chain but since the FJR is a shaft drive I'll have to be a little more creative... :D I'll keep...

    Reverse Trike

I'll try to get some conceptual stuff for you guys to see but it will accomodate 2 passengers side by side. It's much easier to just connect the bike, less build time, supplies and calculations. Lot's of people have done it. Most of the weight (planned) should be toward the front for better...

    Reverse Trike

What’s up guys? I haven’t been around here much because I’ve been so damn busy at work and home but I figured I would share what has been taking up all my time at home lately… I’m building a reverse trike. I managed to get my hands on a Yamaha FJR 1300 for the powerplant!!! This thing’s...

    Water pump cover

Let me know if any of you have water pump cover. Mine is a 2005 FJR 1300 ABS. Thanks!! Tate

    Wheels paint.?

Powder coating is probably your best way really. It's much more durable. I do custom powder coating. The only problem with wheels is if the factory finish needs to come off because of chipping or pitting then it's sort of a tough job and it's usually easiest to take it to a media blasting...

    ABS module removal

That's pretty much exactly what I would like to do. I'm not hellbent on keeping the ABS on the rear, I'd rather get rid of the weight and sell the parts for extra build money... I'm trying to sell everything I can to make extra money for the build. I need to get front rims and tires ASAP for...

    ABS module removal

Ok so I came up with another question. I'm not going to be using the front brakes on my reverse trike project so I'd like to eliminate the front calipers and brake lines but they go back into an ABS box. Can I simply pull them off and bolt the holes off or will this play havock with the...

    Ignition switch removal

Ahh gotcha, that's kind of what I figured so I'll just use a set of left hand drill bits or extractors then. I don't need to replace it so no biggie there, just need to take it off of the triple clamp and sell the triple clamp. Thanks!!
