    Reverse Trike

Thanks a lot guys! Yeah I'm pretty excited and nervous for the inspection. I can't imagine they will fail it but I'm worried. I am taking it in next tuesday after I borrow a trailer.

    Reverse Trike

I found some boat trailer fenders at bass pro shops by luck but they were too narrow so I had a guy widen them a few inches and then I cut the crescent out of the front. Then I just fabbed up the side plates and mounting myself. It was frustrating but I finally figured it out. I used the brake...

    FJ1300RT Reverse Trike Concept

Thanks guys, I guess I will go ahead and do some more work to try and get it working... Just lazy and getting impatient to get it on the road! I do have a diagram, not very clear picture of it but I do. I think I'm going to plan a trip too but not until after driving the trike around a while...

Sweet man! My neutral light still doesn't work and it's not the bulb. I never did figure out what it was... I'd like to have it but tired of chasing gremlins... Good to hear you got her running though! Feels good doesn't it?

Thanks for the complements! Quick and small update. Got the vinyl cover pretty much done for behind the seats. It looks pretty decent and will help hide ugly wires and keep any rain off also.

    Reverse Trike

Made a bunch more progress this weekend. Got the front cover put on, tightened up all the nuts and bolts, mounted passenger seat, mounted front running lights, ran the blinker wires, and built the skeleton for the rear tarp. If you look close you can see the skeleton I fabbed up...

    FJ1300RT Reverse Trike Concept

WOW that's pricey just to re-register! I got my bike for $1500. and sold about $1000. worth of un-needed parts off of it which funded the rest of the project so I'm really only into this thing about $2000-2500. out of pocket. To register I just have to get a certified VIN inspection ($20) and...

Nice! You're moving pretty fast too. I'm so close I can taste it. I worked all three days on this long weekend and got a ton done. I posted updates over on my thread if you hadn't noticed. Have you tooled it up and down the driveway or anything yet?

    Reverse Trike

Ok big update! Got a lot done the past week or so. I'm guessing I am only about 3 weeks to a month away from being registered and road legal!!!!!!!!! I used to work in auto upholstery so I pulled the covers off the seats and got some new covers made and reinstalled about a week or two ago...

Funny because that was my first thought when it happened for the first time so the next time out I had put just a little more fuel in but probably not enough so yes you probably are correct then that it's the fuel level.

:o nice. I didn't go to that level of thought with my current theory LOL. As embarrassing as it may be... or "redneck" as it may look... I'll post some pictures of what I'm building so far maybe later tonight...

    FJ1300RT Reverse Trike Concept

I thought I had a cleaner shot of it but now that I'm at work I don't. I'll get a good picture of it later but for now if you look at pages 1&2 of my build log there is a picture on each page (scroll through them) that sort of shows it to give you an idea anyway...

    FJ1300RT Reverse Trike Concept

Only problem with my application is that's right where my trike frame mounts up so it probably wouldn't work for me... :(

    Reverse Trike

Thanks! I'm getting extremely anxious because I'm soooooo close to being done yet there's still a lot of tedious and detailed work to be done. :dribble:

    Reverse Trike

Woohoo FINALLY got the rear tire, got it mounted and balanced and back on the bike. So she's back on all 3 feet again. Mounted one of the side blinkers and finished wiring up the tail lights and the extra brake light up on the wing. I felt like doing a really short video update of the tire...

    FJ1300RT Reverse Trike Concept

So it sort of looks like you are headed in the same direction I was at one point by interfacing with the drive shaft? If that's what you are doing, are you planning on having a chain or belt etc. ride in contact with the shaft at all times or something that pulls away when not in use? That's...
