Those are two awesome looking bikes! I love the color of your FZ1. The full fairing looks great. Do you have any heat issues with the fairing?
Yes indeed, I lurked for quite some time on the two forums you mentioned before buying my new baby.
I agree the FZ1 is appropriate for longer trips and...
I just picked up a 2006 FZ1 a couple of weeks ago at a very good price and can't be happier with the performance. It looks like it came off the show-room floor and has only 6K miles showing on the odometer. It came with a few farkles that I definitely wanted including a carbon fiber can and...
I have a set of Shinko Verge 011 on my 2006 FJR and I've been extremely pleased with the performance. I now have 10k miles on them and it appears I'll get a couple more thousand miles before replacing them (with another set of Shinkos) for my upcoming cross-country adventure. I had a chance to...

I'm currently in the middle of my grand adventure and have reached the turn-around point of Portland, OR. If interested, you can follow my progress at

Greetings from Atlanta.
I picked up my new-to-me 2006 FJR from a very nice gentleman in NC with 11K miles about ten days ago. It's in fantastic shape with nary a scratch on it; I can't believe how much I like this bike!
A brief history of my motorcycling odyssey: I started riding again about...
