    UClear HBC200 Bluetooth Intercom

I"ve got a boom and although many would find it disgusting that I reposition the one in my helmet with my tongue when it moved down with my modular... the boom is still way more accurate. There's a reason why they use them in airplanes etc. The field mics have come a long way but puting a mic...

    What's your Feejer Gear ATGATT

Haven't read through the list so don't kill me if I'm out of sequence. I ride in Seattle all year.... - Dickies jeans, self modified with ass and knees with 3 mil neoprene wrapped with kevlar. Jeans sealed with Otter seal or some such hippy beeswax mixed with acetone and pine sap. - HJC...

    Turn Signals

Do y'all ever use the turn signals? Do you ever see them when they're on? for me with the lack of noise and them down on the dash small on a gen 2 I always forget they're on like I'm 95 and trolling the people in the lane next to me. Do you wish they worked better like advanced turn off when...

Possible Terrible Idea - Rear view camera

This regards a Gen 2 instrument console: So I'm a techie / embedded guy. I was riding in this morning this car in the left lane nicely pulled over for me (possibly due to some bright glint off of my lights from the sun or somthign). And in front of him was a sport bike going about the same...

Just realized that the Grizzley's tent sale is the exact same day in Bellingham. Tho it's at 8am. Looks like I'll be there around noon or 1 if I make it. Lol, Newcastle -> Bellingham at 5am -> Newcastle (hopefully with car full of mill) -> Auburn on feejr that afternoon.

Spring PNW Tech Meet #14 - May 2nd

I'm interested. Live in Newcastle. Have an 06 regular with 25k miles. Bought with 23k on Turkey Day. Been using for a commuter. Any recommendations on what I look into? Bike seems to be running fine except light burning smell, and I'm sure the brakes / tires / fluids will need a look by May.

My 3D printed helmet lock solution

$300-500 is going to be hard as it needs to be steady in 3 axis during print, though not for large amounts of torque like a mill would have to be. So the frame is likely going to be 120+ just by itself minimally. There are many cheaper printers but the cheaper they are usually the more things...

My 3D printed helmet lock solution

You can buy em or you can assemble them. It's kinda like cars back in the early 1900s with a ton of manufacturers and a bunch of open source designs which are out of date every 9 months (but still quite workable). Building one is a huge rabbit hole if you like those things. Buying one is a bit...

Anyone doing any 3D printing for their FJR

I'm working up a design for mirror extenders on my printer., which would be much cheaper than the aluminum ones available. I'm going to have to stress test them though as sometimes the shear strength on FDM 3d printed parts (filiment extrusion). Generally I use the 3d printer to mcok up parts...

Garage Door Opener Thru Control Deck, Nice Looking, No Control Loss

This took me about 40 minutes, but yes yours is definitely faster initially. After a few thousand openings I think we break even :) Initially I just had the visor strap going down through the groove for the windshield at the top of the dash.

Garage Door Opener Thru Control Deck, Nice Looking, No Control Loss

@mcatrophy thanks! I was considering putting an arrow or other highlight but figured the instructable would cover that. Forgot that people would need to see enough in the pic to want to link over.

    Securing Velcro

get waterproof thread and do a box stitch. Only do this if you're going through the outer layer only. You should be no more afraid of a sewing machine than a welder or a wrench. There are some sweet fabrics out there and sweing is how you weld them :)

Garage Door Opener Thru Control Deck, Nice Looking, No Control Loss

I wanted to add a link to an instructable I made for how to put a nice waterpoof switch in to enable a garage door opener built into the top deck of the FJR. I think it looks pretty good and it doesn't require the loss of a control like the hazards. With a 5v regulator you could even makd the...
