I have no problems getting the bike up on the stand. I just dont want to stress anything or harm anything by not using it. I imagine it is great for changing the tire or pivoting the bike 180 degrees in a tight spot. I was just curious if using the center stand was better somehow than the side...

Yep, I am saving my pennies for a RDL now. Of course I'll the want the best I can get. What is everyone's thoughts on pure leather vs that marine canvas or velour product? And how about your experiences with heated seats. Are they worth it?
