We did order a Soupy's Lowering link for it, just haven't gotten it installed......yet. That will make things a bit easier as far as foot traction (and rolling to a stop), but it's still the same bike. You are 5'9"....you can do it!

I don't have a problem. I am a 5'4" female weighing only 116 pounds. either get better boots, or get used to it. :)
