    No Headlights

Yep, engine running...And my running lights (that are connected inline w/my low beams) aren't turning on either, so I'm confident I'm not getting power to the headlights.

    No Headlights

Pulled the dash apart and found the Hi/Lo relay (I guess), tapped on it to no avail. When I switch on the high beams, the relay isn't clicking or anything. How do I test this proper? Where should there be power in it's different states (highs off/on)? Thanks for the help so far! CM

    No Headlights

All my other lights work fine, turn signals, tails (running lights connected to headlights are not working) ...Windshield works...Haven't tried the horn. I didn't figure that 3a fuse was my headlights (though that does explain why my aux jack wasn't working), just added that as FYI. Where are...

    No Headlights

You make a solid argument, but I suspect she'll shoot me down.

    No Headlights

Went out to my bike (09/Gen 2) this morning, hit the starter and had no headlights. No high or low beams. When I rode it last (Sunday) it was wet, but everything was working fine. I checked the fuses, found one burned out 3a fuse, replaced it to no avail. Where do I go from here? Not even sure...

    Sleeping pad recommendation for camping?

Tent hammock for the win...Packs small and kills two birds with one stone.

    Earphones

I use similar buds on my bike and it does make a difference. They fit a little tighter, so it cancels out more sound, but the downside is they fit a little tighter and can (not every time) get uncomfortable after awhile.

    Front brake issue

Not to resurrect an old thread, but could this be bad wheel bearings? Chris

    Front brake issue

It seems like a couple of 30-0 stops fixed the issue, but I'm going to check the steering head bearings when I get a chance. Thanks y'all. CM

    Front brake issue

For the past few weeks, when I've gotten on my front brakes, there's been a chattering/vibration up the bars. It only happens on the fronts and I initially thought it was the ABS, but it happens even at low speeds. I haven't actually pulled anything apart yet, but it looks like the pads still...

Anyone try Decibullz custom ear buds?

I tried the decibullz, but couldn't ever get a tight enough fit for them to stay in place when i put the helmet on. I had better luck with noise cancelling ear buds... CM

    Bike won't start

Never mind! Turns out she was just mad at me for not riding for two weeks. Stayed on the starter and she finally fired. Crisis averted!

    Bike won't start

Hey guys, after pulling the fairing to fix the mirror, now my bike won't start. Battery's charged, the starter's spinning (seemingly faster than normal?), but it won't fire. Anyone have any ideas? I'm supposed to leave for CO tomorrow for a week on my bike. This could put a real damper on it... CM

    Post drop

My bike had a drop...landed against a car, now the left side mirror is bent in/up. The mirror is fine, its mounting bracket is what bent. My question is the mirror assembly strong enough to use as leverage to pull the bracket back or do I need to pull the fairing off and figure out how to fix it...

    loading FJR in a pickup

Well, due to the rain all day yesterday, all the way up i35, I made it as far as Temple (where my folks live) and convinced my dad to drive me the rest of the way. Since it was still raining when we got back, I kept going to SA in the truck and he's riding my bike down today (they were planning...

    loading FJR in a pickup

That was my initial thought, but a little googling led me to this - https://www.smthng.com/FJR1/ So it can be done. Now, I haven't laid eyes on the truck, so I'm not sure how many tie down points there are, but...

    loading FJR in a pickup

Hey guys, I'm going to pick up a new truck tomorrow. It's in Dallas, I'm in San Antonio, so I'm taking my bike with the plan to put it in the bed for the ride home. The truck is an avalanche, so it's got a really short box, so the tailgate will have to be down. What's the recommended method for...

    Trouble down shifting

Nope, it's not making any noises...and as far as fit goes, I've been on the same bike for 8 months, so I would think that sort of issue would have already come up. I cleaned up the shift linkage on my last FJR, so that's something I know how to do, which is always a plus. Thanks!

    Trouble down shifting

Yesterday on my way home (via the scenic route), most of the time when i downshifted from 4th to 3rd and on down, I took several tries to make the shift. When I would press on the shifter, there was no resistance, it just went to the bottom of it's swing. 5th to 4th worked fine, 4th and down...
