    Riding in the Cold

Kent. WA aka 'The Sandbag Capital of the PNW'. Good point. The good news is, most of the time, not all, but most of the time it's just wet on the west side, which allows a quick run down I-5 to the Gorge (Cascade mountain passes are either closed or winter driving conditions in winter and...

    Riding in the Cold

Mid-twenties and up works without heated gear and good laying materials. Slight discomfort at 65 mph and higher for long distances. Of course this is in dry climates/good road conditions. Keep Going!

    SS1000

My mistake for sure. I saw Tonopah and food mentioned and started getting queasy thinking about my bad experience in NV. Google shows the two to be 499 miles apart. All's well then, not sure the flies can make it that far. Keep Going!

    SS1000

Well, Kent and Auburn certainly had some heated rivalries back in the 50s and 60s among the high school crowd. One didn't venture too far into the others territory without re-enforcements close at hand. Hinshaws Honda and Auburn were synonymous with each-other in the 60s and 70s. After...

    Two Cascade Mountain Passes Closed.

That would be fun. However, Gerlach, NV is in the plan for later in the week. Through the gorge. :yahoo: Oh, that's right, Thanks Jim. I had almost forgotten that one. Great fun! That will be an annual happening. I'll send you a postcard from somewhere along the way, unless you want...

    Two Cascade Mountain Passes Closed.

Chinook and Cayuse passes closed for the season on Nov. 12, 2012. It's looking like the long way around might be the only option to go east soon. The Columbia River Gorge and surrounding destinations offer some great riding on the WA. side pretty much year around with some icy exceptions...
