    Hard turning in

It's an '08, right? Still under warranty. If you have confidence in your dealer, have him check it out.

'08's -- does your fuel gauge read "FULL"?

I usually get about 30 miles before the 1st bar disappears. 'Course, I trickle 'er up half way or so into the "basket" (on the kickstand) if the gas pump shutoff cooperates and will allow me to trickle some more in. Am considering doing like I did on my Roadliner and, using a hardened awl...

    Corbin thumbs up

Did you order the "standard" Corbin build, or did you have them narrow the front a bit (for an even shorter reach/stance)?

    Monticello, MN, Moon's Motors

In September 2006, I bought a Roadliner S from them. The price for the bike was right and they did everything they promised. I must say though that I found out later that the MSRP prices for the extra consumable part/accessories (2 cases of oil and filters) I purchased at the time of the sale...

    Cullman, AL, D&H Cycle

Picked up my 08 in mid-May. Road Georgia and Alabama around for two days and brought it back to them for the 600 mile service (with 850 miles on the odo). Super nice folks and great service. :yahoo: I especially enjoyed trading cow-milking stories with Virginia (Renaa's mom -- We both grew...

    Difficult Shifting On 2007 FJR

I never thought mine was a difficult shifter. When it was fresh out of the crate, it was a bit "noisy" and "notchy" , but I attributed that to being new and running the 10-40 (thinner) break-in oil that was in it. After the first service at 850 miles it smoothed noticeably. The combination of...

    Another happy D&H customer!

I had the same situation. I was going to use the card and get the 6 month free interest deal to, but since I wanted the bike to be "legal" (did an eight-state tour on the way home...4200 mile trip) with either temp tags or plate, I couldn't use it to pay for the bike. I had to pay for the bike...

What Is This Part Used For?

Actually, they're meant to be used for makin breakfast when ur campin' out..... One side is for the flapjacks (or eggs) and the other for the sausage. Just start 'er up and warm her up to "two bars" and start cookin..... If you want toast and hash browns, a second FJR is required...

    FJR Rain Cover

I use the Dow Ultralite Plus. Works good for me. Stuffs into its own zippered pouch. Also has a cinch strap to keep it from doing any serious flopping when the wind kicks up. https://www.dowco-inc.com/Seg_Power.asp?seg=2

    KC area dealers, D&H comparison

I got back from picking up mine from D&H a couple of weeks ago. Super people. You won't go wrong by buying from them. While you're in the area and have time, go down and visit the Barber Museum outside of Birmingham. Lotsa bikes. On my way home, I found a shortcut and instead of 1,300 miles, I...

Just test road a FJR today...

Moon is a pretty good dealership. I bought my 06 Roadliner from them in September 06. Nice folks. However, I found out that D&H is a notch (or two) better though a month ago when I picked up my new FJR.

    New 08 Update

Keep an eye on Ebay. I picked a up 2008 Service Manual (like new) for $28 shipped to my door.... :yahoo:

    FJR Comparisons

When I was shopping around, I looked at the FJR, R1200RT, C14, and the Moto Guzzi Norge. Decided on the FJR due to looks, value, reliability/history and that the 08 should be a vintage year as Yamaha has made several tweaks over the years to get rid of the known annoyances. After looking over...

    Waaay Looong first ride

If you got a couple of extra days, you could do like I did. I picked mine up at D&H and run around Alabama and Georgia for two days and to it back to D&H for the first service. Had about 850 miles on it. Jerold told me not to take it over 1000-1200 miles before the first service.

    FJR vs. C14 Perspective (only)

My thoughts exactly. My shortlist included the FJR, C14 and R1200RT. The FJR seems much more compact compared to the other two (and others).

    Well....I'll pulled the trigger yesterday!

You're making me drool all over my keyboard. Nice bike! Congrats. On the bright side (for me), in about 10 days, I'll be flying down to D&H to pick mine up and spend 2-3 weeks riding it around Dixie and then home. Gettin' antsy..... Dave

    07 bmw k 1200GT Clutch Failure/possible fjr failure

Over the years, I've had 3 Beemers. A 74 R90S, a 78 R100S and currently have a 94 R1100RS. They usually always "klunk(ed)" in varying degrees, but none of them jerked at all. Dave

    Dunlop Roadsmart Street/ST Tires

Jeff: Are you referring to both front and rear here of just the rear? Was interested if the front was wearing evenly too (no cupping, ridges, etc). Am about to spring for a set. Dave

    Pilot Road 2 - who's got 'em?

I emailed them for a price quote on a set and here's what their response was: "The 120/70/17 is part number 190-03010101 for $151.85. The 180/55/17 is part number 190-03020176 for $194.85."

    D & H Cycle prices

They can't be making much on the bike sale but there's also about a 3% holdback (based on MSRP, just like car dealers get) at the end the end of the year. I'm going down there in a couple of months to pick mine up and spend about 3 weeks on the trip back. Can't wait! Dave
